Flying on Caserta Vecchia

Contributor feola.mike created this beautiful drone video of Casertavecchia, a very old village in the Southern Italian province of Caserta (part of the Campania Region).  It is situated in the mountainous interior of the province, well away from its coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea.  It's believed that the town dates to the 9th century AD.  The village passed under Lombard, Saracen, Norman, Swabian, Aragonese control, and later was the scene of a key battle in the War of Italian Independence.
