AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Seen from almost any point in Vancouver, the pointed rock formations known as The Lions are a familiar landmark in British Columbia, Canada and have provided inspiration in the naming of the local CFL football team, as well as Lion's Gate Entertainment. Although the hiking can be a bit risky, they both remain popular spots for enthusiasts like Pasquale Josepe, who, fortunately for us, also packed his drone to capture his own adventure. THE LIONS HIKE - Vancouver BC Canada. This is an extremely dangerous hike. For your own safety please watch this video first... The Lions are a pair of pointed peaks (West Lion – 1,646 m (5,400 ft); East Lion – 1,606 m (5,269 ft)] along the North Shore Mountains in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They can be seen from much of the Greater Vancouver area. Along with the Lions Gate Bridge named in their honour, these twin summits have become one of the most recognisable Vancouver landmarks. The city's BC Lions CFL football team is also named in their honour. Lions Gate Entertainment which was founded in Vancouver in July, 1997 is also named for the peaks.
