2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 24

In this brilliant "one-take" first person view (FPV) drone video, top AirVuz creator  drew.drones takes us on a fascinating aerial tour.  The General Motors China Advanced Design Center in Shanghai is one of four GM advanced design centers around the world. Recently renovated, the center is focused exclusively on developing electric and autonomous vehicles for markets around the world. The video was filmed with a GoPro Hero 11 action camera mounted to a three inch "cinewhoop" style quad and was a 2023 FPV Drone Video of the Year nominee.

Take in these stunning aerial views of Turkey, compiments of former Drone Video of the Month Winner LokmansIn.  The video opens with shots of Cappadocia, a region in the center of the country which is famous for its "fairy tale" castles as well as a large fleet of hot air balloons to view them.   Then it's on to the ruins of the ancient city of Kibyra in the southern province of Burdur.  Just before the 1:00 mark, there's a nice shot of Istanbul, and at 1:08 you'll see the famous Sumila Mounastery in the northeastern province of Trabzon.  

Based in Munich, aeroCircus is a top commercial drone piloting company in Germany.  Winners of the Reel category for the second annual Drone Video Awards, this 2023 showreel won the 2023 Drone Video of the Year.  The fantastic compilation features a variety of projects with top TV and movie producers, famous brands, and other highly demanding customers.  Highlights include some stunning first person view (FPV) drone action shots and a number of scenes which were filmed in the course of big-budget movie and TV show productions.    

Prepare to be amazed by this incredible 2022 drone reel by top AirVuz contributor Supasanya.  The video opens with shots from the Caucasus Mountains, both in southern Russia as well as in Armenia.  At about the :20 mark, there's a great shot of the Temple of Garni in the Highlands of Armenia.  Starting at about the :35 mark, there are some great drift car action shots, followd by some excellent views of the modern skyscrapers as well as older landmarks in the great Russian capital city of Moscow.  

Former DVOW Winner Łukasz Jaros brings us this stunning drone travel video of Gran Canaria, one of Spain's Canary Islands.  Created with aerial footage from a DJI Mavic 3 drone as well as ground camera footage, the video highlights the extremely diverse landscapes of Gran Canaria, which lies in the middle of the archipelago.  Most of the footage highlights two of these landscapes: the Maspalomas sand dunes, which lie at Gran Canaria's southern tip, and the volcanic mountains which cover much of its northern ,western and central parts.
