2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 27

Top AirVuz contributor semberadventure has created a distinctive style for his travel videos, using drone, underwater, and ground camera footage to create a truly immersive experience from his travels across some of the most spectacular nature of Latin America and the Caribbean region.  In this outstanding reel, he's pulled together some of his best work.  You'll be treated to epic views of spots ranging from the rainforests and waterfalls of Costa Rica to the Andes Mountains in Peru, the blue waters of the Bahamas, and more.  

Take a tour of the fabled Portuguese Azores island of São Jorge in this outstanding travel video by former DVOW Winner ArturCarvalho, which was created using footage from a DJI Mavic 3 drone, a DJI Avata FPV drone, and a ground camera.  Much of the video was filmed around the Fajã do Belo Kuanza stone hut nature resort in the town of Fajã da Caldeira Santo Cristo, on island's long northeastern shoreline.  You'll also see such nearby sights such as a stunning waterfall at the 1:26 mark), the Fajã dos Cubres formation (2:04), and more.

Spain's Somiedo Natural Park is one of the treasures of the region of Asturias in the northwestern part of the country.  In this outstanding travel video by former Drone Video of the Week Winner Migo-Studios, you'll get an aerial tour of the park, which was established in 1988.  It's set in the Cantabrian Mountains, a chain of peaks which runs parallel to and a short distance south of the coastline along the Bay of Biscay.  Declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2000, the park covers over 150 square mi. (around 390 square km).  

Explore three of Italy's most famous cities from above in this excellent drone video by My Travels.  The first stop is the Tuscan capital of Florence, opening with epic shots of the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), followed by Arnolfo Tower and the Ponte Vecchio Bridge.  At the 1:50 mark, you'll head south to Naples, where you'll see landmarks such as the Piazza del Plebiscito (2:08), the Castel Nuovo (2:20), and the Castel Sant'Elmo (2:45).  The last stop is Rome; here you'll see the Colosseum (3:40), St. Peter's Basilica (3:48), and more.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor mananddroneuk brings us this stunning drone video from the Swiss Alps.  The video was filmed near the cable car station of Birg, just to the east of the Schilthorn mountain and ski resort and ore or less due south of Interlaken.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone.  This area is home to some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in Europe, with towering peaks, alpine meadows, and the aqua-colored waters of Lake Thune, all of which are featured in the video.
