Drone Videos of Amsterdam

Top AirVuz contribitor vitaliy.karpovich brings us this stunning drone video of the great Dutch city of Amsterdam, which won the DVOW contest in November of 2024.  At the 1:27 mark (and again at 1:50), there's a nice shot of the Westerkerk, a famous Renaissance style church in the Canal District (Grachtengordel).  At 2:25, you'll see the Rijksmuseum, one of Europe's most well-known art museums, and at 2:56 you'll see the Royal Concertgebouw concert hall.    Other highlights include numerous shots of the city's canal system.  

See the Dutch city of Amsterdam in a new light in this fantastic drone video from Passport_Aerial.  It's the capital of the country and its largest city, the center of an urban area of about 2.5 million.  Originating from a dam on the Amstel River, Amsterdam was one of the 2-3 most important cities in the world in the 17th century.  It's still an important business and financial center, known around the world for its canals and cafes as well as for historical sites like the house where Anne Frank hid during World War II.

Get some great aerial views of the great Dutch city of Amsterdam in this excellent drone video by nohesitations.  The video contains some excellent shots starting at about :20 looking down the Amstel River towards the central part of the city.  Beyond the buildings and squares you'll see the IJ, the body of water which connects the IJmeer with the North Sea to the west.  You'll also get some nice views of the city's famous canal system, which form a series of rings around the center city which intersect with the Amstel.  

This drone video of Amsterdam by AirVuz contributor NvS Channel opens with some nice shots looking up and down the city's main waterfront on the IJ.  From there you'll head to the canals which form a series of half-rings around the great Dutch city.  Starting at about the :48 mark, you'll see some great overhead views of the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, followed by a shot heading northwards toward the city's main train station (Amsterdam Centraal).  Other highlights include a night flyover of Dam Square (1:35), the city's main plaza.

Top AirVuz contributor iDrone Aerials put together this DVOW nominated film from Amsterdam, Netherlands.  Shot using both drone and ground camera footage, the video will take you around the great city on the Amstel River. At the :11 mark there's a great shot of the city's Old Church (Oude Kerk), followed by some great shots of the Rijksmuseum, the country's largest museum.  At the :43 mark, you'll get an aerial view of the A'Dam Lookout observation deck.  The video was produced in connection with a music/dance event in the city.

Muiden (Muiderslot) is the location of one of the most important castles in the Netherlands. It's situated on the Vecht River east of Amsterdam, at the river's mouth on what used to be the Zuidersee but which is now the enclosed Lake IJsselmeer.  The castle was built in the 14th century.   During the 17th century, Muiden became a gathering spot for many of the leading lights of the Dutch Renaissance, then fell into disuse in the 18th century.  Check it out from above in this drone video by Peter van Haastrecht. 

Get a unique perspective of an island fortress near Amsterdam in the Netherlands with this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor Drone&Zo.  The artificlal Pampus Island is located in the IJmeer, just north of the Amsterdam suburb of Muiden.  The fortification was built as part of the Amsterdam Defense Line (Stelling van Amsterdam) which was constructed beginning in 1880 and made extensive use of natural waterlines.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2023.
