FPV Drone Racing
While the epic sport of FPV (First-Person-View) drone racing is still new, it’s hit the scene at full force. Started by hobby enthusiasts in late 2014, it’s now a bona fide sport, broadcast on premier channels and platforms around the world with viewers catching the best of the race from the fully immersive, live stream camera feed. As drone racing has evolved, the components used by these pilots have also become more customized and highly technical. From each pilot’s quadcopter frame, flight controller, RC controller and FPV goggles to even the propellers, each part of the racing drone kit get modded (ahem, modified) again, and again until the winning combination is found.
The best drone racers can be found in the preeminent league for professional pilots, the Drone Racing League (DRL), as well as the Drone Champions League, and the globally popular MultiGP leagues, with thousands of pilots participating in local chapters.
Cruise your way through these collections to see the best in drone racing, and when you’re finished, cool your jets with some epic FPV Freestyle flights. Photo taken from Fly Your Own Race // My Journey to Professional Drone Racing by AirVūz pilot nurkfpv.
