Devil's Needle - Serra dos Órgãos National Park - BRAZIL. The Devil's Needle is the most impressive rock formation in the entire Serra dos Órgãos National Park. In 2009 it was chosen by climbers from all over the world as one of the 15 most coveted rock climbs. The Devil's Needle rises to 2,050 meters of altitude and is located right in the heart of the Serra dos Órgãos National Park. It is considered one of the most beautiful and classic climbs in Brazil. Its access is through the Path of the Orchids, a trail that begins near the Cota 2000. The conquest of the Needle of the Devil occurred on June 20, 1941 by Giuseppe Toselli, Roberto Menezes de Oliveira and Almy Ulysséa all of the Brazilian Excursion Center. The logistics were made in 2 days, climbing with items to camp in Paquequer and carrying out the attack at dawn the next day. Lu Savati and Thiago Vupa were with me, who guided the road with sovereignty. Unfortunately the weather closed completely on the summit, limiting the beautiful view of the mountains around Agulha (São João, São Pedro, Garrafão, etc). However, that achievement was worth a lot.
