The capital of the northern state of Saxony, Dresden is built on the banks of the Elbe River. The video opens with shots of the city's Frauenkirche and Opera House, followed by the Zwinger Palace and the Hofkirche (Cathedral). Dresden was heavily damaged near the end of World War II during a still-controversial bombing raid which killed thousands and was later immortalized in Kurt Vonnegut's classic 1969 novel, Slaughterhouse-Five.
