Do What you Wanna
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
In the second half of March, 2020, New Orleans, Louisiana became one of the USA's Covid-19 pandemic "hotspots". It was generally believed that the annual Mardi Gras celebration in February, in which over a million streamed (unaware) into the Big Easy, contributed to the rapid spread of the disease here. In this drone video by Bumble Bee Productions, you'll see aerial glimpses of the city shot over the course of a month, when increasingly stringent social distancing measures caused outdoor life to be drastically curtailed.

Well, interesting times indeed. I have spent the last month in New Orleans training and working at the first quarantine site in Westwego, Louisiana. I have been droning as often as possible and you will see where the streets became more and more empty and void of life, music and the often found festivities symbolic of New Orleans. However, I managed to find those pockets of rebellion and people shined over the threat of the invisible bug by way of responsible social distancing and festive attitude. Alll shot using DJI's Mavic 2 Pro (Hannah B) and is a dronalism of the New Orleans and surrounding areas that I know best. Of course there are moments of insanity and got the "Do What You Wanna" bug performed by the Rebirth Brass Band. A true Mardi Gras season beat that will get your feet moving. I am hoping to bring as little light in an otherwise dark times and hope you enjoy the video...
