Fly in Skye
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor Pepinair created this memorable drone video of the Isle of Skye in Scotland, part of the Inner Hebrides islands. With fewer than 10k permanent residents, its coastline is dotted with peninsulas and lakes, with a mountainous interior where you can find some of Scotland's most iconic landscapes. The Isle has attracted great literary interest, and was the setting for Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse. Published in 1927, the novel is considered one of the great works of 20th century fiction.

The Isle of Skye is a truly magical place. It is the largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago and its coastline is dotted with peninsulas and narrow lakes, with a mountainous interior where you can find some of Scotland's most iconic landscapes. It has an intense historical heritage, from prehistoric settlements to sinister castles. Known for its ancient disputes between rival clans, Jacobite battles and the devastation of tenant communities during the Highland Displacements. The Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing and the Cuillin are some of the landscapes that you will never forget. Music: In Aeris by José Manuel González Núñez
