AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : One of the top attractions in the northern part of the Mediteranean island of Malta is a 40 year old movie set near the town of Mellieħa. It's called Popeye Village in honor of the 1979 movie which was filmed here - Robert Altman's adaptation of the Popeye comic strip. While the movie had mixed box office success, it will be forever known as the first starring movie role for the late Robin Williams, considered one of the greatest actors of his generation.
