Stara Zagora
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out this excellent drone video of the very colorful city of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, compliments of contributor balyo dinev. The capital of its namesake province near the center of this Southeast European country, Stara Zagora is Bulgaria's sixth-most populous city. Part of the historical region of Thrace, the city was founded by Philip II of Macedon (father of Alexander the Great) in the 342 BC. In 1877, the city was the site of a key battle in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, which ultimately resulted in Bulgarian independence.
