2023 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 3

Take in these stunning drone videos of the Portuguese island of Madeira, compliments of former Drone Video of the Week Winner Jan Barančík - DronistaCZ.  The video opens with some spectacular shots looking down on the island's mountainous interior through the clouds, followed by a view of the sea stacks of Miradouro da Ponta do Rosto on the eastern peninsula known as the Ponta de São Lourenço.  Other highlights include the Risco Waterfall on the Rabaçal trail (1:35), curvy mountain roads, wind turbines, and more.  

Freeway Prod is one of the most successful commercial drone filming companies in France, and they regularly are chosen for some of the most highly demanding aerial videography jobs.  In this amazing 2022 retrospective reel, you'll be treated to some highlights of their work.  Fast-paced and extremely well-edited, the piece will take you over great landmarks such as the great Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris (undergoing repair work from the devastating 2019 fire), the French Alps, giant music concerts, massive fireworks displays. and more. 

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video from the mountains of Crete, the largest Greek island and the fifth-largest in the Mediterranean Sea by land area, compliments of AirVuz contributor That Greek Guy.  The video was filmed over the White Mountains (Lefka Ori), which cover much of the western part of the island.  Named for the color of their peaks (off-white limestone during the warm months and snow during the winter), these mountains reach altitudes of up to just over 8k ft. above sea level (just under 2.5k m).
