Check out this excellent drone video from the Spanish island of Mallorca by Michael Haubold.  The first part of the video was filmed over and around Cala Agulla,  a well-known beach on a bay near the Mallorca's eastern tip.  At the 2:50 mark, you'll see the lighthouse of Far de Capdepera, which lies at the very easternmost point of Mallorca.  Othe featured locations include the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, in the northern part of the island; the mouth of the torrent de Pareis; and the Cap de Formentor, at the island's northern tip.

Former DVOW Finalist Kris-Tof brings us this outstanding drone video from Mallorca, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands archipelago in the western Mediterranean.  Just before the :30 mark, there's a nice reveal of the Cala Romantica cove beach near Porto Christo, on the island's eastern coast.  At around 1:15, you'll see the famous Es Pontàs rock arch, near Mallorca's southern tip.  Other highlights include the Formentor Lighthouse at the island's northern tip (1:33) and the town of Sant Elm on the island's western end (2:20).

Contributor Pakobagur used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this stunning aerial video of the northernmost spots of Spain's Balearic Islands.  It was shot on the northern coast of Menorca, the second largest (by area) of the four islands in the group, which also includes Majorca, Ibiza, and Fermentor.  With most of the island's settlements on its eastern and southern shores, the north coast of Menorca is one of the most pristine environments in the whole region, which is an official region of Spain.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner BeemFlights brings us this fantastic drone video of some of the "hidden" beaches on the Spanish island of Menorca.  Menorca is the second-largest of the Balearic Islands, a small Spanish archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea.  Lying a bit to the northeast of the larger island of Mallorca, Menorca covers a land area of about 270 square mi. or just under 700 square km.  With a population of a bit under 100k permanent residents, it's much less densely populated than its larger neighbor.

Check out this drone video of a beach on the legendary Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of AirVuz content creator and pilot BelceOne.  Cala Vadella is located on the western side of the island, the third-largest of the Balearic Islands chain in the western Mediterranean.  The beach is part of the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, which covers the southwestern portion of the island.  It is considered one of the dozen best beaches on Ibiza.  The video was shot with a DJI Air 2S drone.

Check out this amazing 4k drone video of the fabled Spanish island of Ibiza, compliments of contributor Airburner.  The third-largest of the Balearic Islands after Mallorca and Menorca, it lies off the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, due east of the port city of Valencia.  Discovered by the "hippie" crowd in the 1960's, Ibiza is widely considered to be one of the party and nightlife capitals of the Mediterranean.  Outside of the clubs, much of the island is actually part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Electronik Motion brings us this excellent drone video from the Spanish Mediterranean island of Mallorca.  The area filmed is two tiny islands called the Malgrats, just off the western coast of Mallorca, the largest and most populous of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  The Malgrats are part of the municipality of Calvià.  Since 2004, the islets have been classified as a marine reserve and are protected under Spanish preservation laws.

Contributor Johny Kondakjian Photography created this beautiful drone video of Mallorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean.  Much of the video was shot around Palma (Palma de Mallorca), the capital of the region and its largest city, which is situated on a bay on the southwest part of the island.  At the :30 mark, you'll get an amazing look at Bellver Castle, which sits atop a hill overlooking Palma.  Built in the 14th century, it's one of the most famous castles in all of Spain.

Set in the western Mediterranean, it's home to some of the region's most iconic sites. The video includes footage of Palma, Cap de Formentor, Sa Calobra, Torrent de Pareis, Cala Santanyi and Es Pontàs.  A number of these sites may look familiar to moviegoers; they "stood in" for spots in Hawaii and New Zealand in the 2012 film Cloud Atlas starring Tom Hanks.

The video, which was shot with a DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone, was shot from different spots on the island, the largest of Spain's Balearic Islands region in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It includes some dramatic footage of what is probably the most well known spot on Mallorca: the lightghouse of Cap Fermentor, a peninsula which forms the northeastern tip of the island.  The lighthouse dates to 1863.

Contributor Sam Dehili created this stunning drone video of the tallest lighthouse in Spain's Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  Punta Moscarter is a point on the northern shore of Ibiza, the third largest of the four islands (second largest by population).  Located near the town of Punta Moscarter, the lighthouse was opened in 1978.  With a height of 52 meters (about 170 ft.), it's the tallest lighthouse in the region.  It's located in the sea lanes on the eastern approaches to Valencia, Spain's largest port.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist isbalearicdrone brings us this excellent drone video from Pregonda Beach (Cala Pregonda) on the Spanish island of Menorca.  The beach is located on a bay on the northern side of the island, the second-largest of the Balearic Islands (after Mallorca) in the western Mediterranean Sea.  It's a comparatively isolated section of the Menorca coastline, less well-known than spots like Galdana, Mitjana and Macarella Beaches.  The video was shot in October, 2022 with a DJI Air 2S drone.

Watch this video from contributor Helmans_adventures and you'll start to understand why Mallorca is such a phenomenally popular Mediterranean destination.  On that point, the numbers speak for themselves.  With a population of under 900,000, the island's principal airport,  Palma de Mallorca Airport, Palma de Mallorca, processed an incredible 28 million travelers in 2017.  By that measure, it was the third busiest airport in Spain that year, topped only by the airports for (much larger) Madrid and Barcelona.

Pecky Necky Films created this beautiful drone video of two very pretty spots on Spain's island of Mallorca.  The Serra de Tramuntana is a chain of mountains which run across this Mediterranean island; their highest peak (Puig Major) is about 1.45k meters or a bit under 5k ft. It's a UNESCO World Heritage natural site.   The Llevante Peninsula Natural Park sits on the peninsula of the same name.  It forms the easternmost part of this island, one of the four which make up Spain's Balearic chain.

AirVuz contributor echoeds_fpv brings us this fantastic drone video of a small rocky island off the coast of the larger Spanish island of Ibiza in the western Mediterranean.  Es Vedrà lies off the southwestern shore of Ibiza, the third-largest and westernmost of the islands which make up the Balearic archipelago.  Uninhabited, the rock stands 413 meters tall or around 1.35k ft.  Es Vedrà is thought to be the home of the sirens and sea nymphs who tried to lure Odysseus to his death in the epic poem the Odyssey by Homer.

New AirVuz contributor Yaroslav used a DJI Mavic Air 2 to create this stunning aerial view of a beach spot on the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca.  The filming location is Sa Coma Beach, which lies just to the south of the somewhat better-known town of Cala Millor on the eastern side of the island.  Only about an hour's drive east of the capital city of Palma de Mallorca, it's a gorgeous spot for beach-going travelers, who have made this island in the western Mediterranean one of the top destinations in Southern Europe.

Isaias Cruz created this nice aerial look at two spots on Spain's Menorca island, the easternmost of the group of four known as the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean.  Cala Macarella is at the head of a small bay on the southwest coast of the island, between the towns of Cala en Bosc and Cala Galdana.  Cala Macarelleta lies on the same bay, on its western shore.  With fewer than 10% of the population of Mallorca, Menorca offers many such secluded and beautiful areas.

The Spanish island of Mallorca is probably the top beach destination in the entire Mediterranean region.  While the majority of Mallorca's roughly 900k permanent inhabitants live in and around the capital city of Palma de Mallorca, which sits at the head of the Bay of Palma on the western side of the island, some of Mallorca's most beautiful beaches lay on its eastern side.  In this drone video by new contributor Yaroslav, you'll fly over the Cala Millor, a popular beach about an hour's drive due east of the capital.

Here's a nice aerial view of a well known beach area on the Spanish island of Majorca, compliments of silvano1988.  The video was filmed in the municipality of Alcúdia, which lies on the northern part of the island.  Alcúdia sits on Alcúdia Bay, which covers a fairly large area on the western part of the island's northern shoreline.  The town dates to the 13th century and its 14 km (around 8 km) line of beaches are some of the best known in the Spain's Balearic Islands and indeed in the entire Mediterranean Sea.

Check out this excellent drone video of a famous spot on the Spanish island of Mallorca, compliments of AirVuz contributor Santiago.  It's called Cap de Formentor, and it's a long peninsula which represents the northeastern tip of the island, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  As you'll see in the video, at the very end of the cape is the Formentor Lighthouse, which is still active.  Built in 1863, it stands an amazing 700 ft. (210 m) above the surrounding waters.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist is_balearicdrone brings us this excellent drone video of a well-known historical landmark on the Spanish island of Ibiza. It's called the Torre d'en Rovira, and it's a watchtower on a peninsula on the western coast of the island, the third-largest of the Balearic Islands archipelago (after Mallorca and Menorca) in the western Mediterranean Sea.  The tower dates to the mid-18th century.  It's part of a system of watchtowers which protected the islands from seaborne invasion.

Palmer brings us this stunning drone video of the Formentor Lighthouse, which lies on the Spanish island of Mallorca in the western Mediterranean Sea.  Completed in 1863, it's located at the tip of Cap de Formentor, a long peninsula which extends north from the main body of the island.  The still-active lighthouse stands 72 ft. tall (22 m), but due to its elevation it has a focal height of 690 ft. (210 m), the tallest in the Balearic chain which also includes Menorca, Ibiza, and a number of smaller islands.
