Andalusia is a region of Spain, covering most of the southern portion of the country. It includes the following provinces: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville. Andalusia was the center of Muslim rule of Spain from the 8th to the 15th centuries, and the influence of Islam and North Africa can still be seen throughout the region in its ubiquitous castles and fortresses. The region, which was the top pick amongst the areas of Spain in a recent survey by Travel Republic, is also home to some of the most spectacular natural scenery on the Iberian Peninsula, with a long Mediterranean coastline and some of the country's tallest mountains. Andalusia is also a long-time favorite movie filming location, much of the third installment of the Indiana Jones series was filmed here, for example. More recently, it's been one of the primary filming scenes for HBO's Game of Thrones TV series. In this collection of drone videos, you will be able to take in the beauty of Southern Spain from a bird's eye perspective.
