Part of the Ring of Fire, Kanlaon is one of the most active volcano in the Philippines. With an altitude of almost 2.5k meters (just under 8.1k ft.), it's the highest peak on Negros and indeed in the entire Vasayan Islands region.  From the waterfalls at the base, to the Margaja Valley caldera and rocky Lugud crater, the Canlaon volcano brings new meaning to the saying, "beautiful but deadly."  Contributor NAVA flew over the top of this marvel, creating one of the most-viewed drone videos on AirVuz.

Sisiman is a small coastal village at the tip of the Bataan Peninsula on the island of Luzon in the Phillipines, just across Manila Bay from the great capital city.  Contributor Carlos Caacbay's drone video captures this magnificent looking place, whose beauty hides a grim past: this was the starting point for the Bataan Death March in World War II, in which thousands of US and allied POW's died during early 1942 while being force-marched through the jungle by their Japanese captors.

Philippines' Surigao del Norte province sits on several islands, with the largest portion on the north end of Mindanao, the major island of the southern part of the Philippines.  Contributor Franz Pilot shot this aerial video of this area, which was close to the site of a major World War II naval battle, for the Philippines Department of Tourism.  Using an Inspire 1 and a Phantom 4 Pro drone from DJI, his video captures the beauty of the area, including the Hinatuan ("Enhanted") River.

Panay is the westernmost of the major Central Visayan Islands which make up the central part of the Philippines.  Although it's one of the larger Visayan Islands in terms of land area, it's less well known than Negros, Cebu, and Bohol, the islands which line up moving southeast of Panay.  In this video, contributor choypictures // lights and shades gives us an aerial view of Culasi, a beautiful area in the northwestern part of Panay which is becoming Panay's first "hot" tourist destination.

Check out this fantastic drone video of an almost-unkown island in the Philippines.  Tenusa Island is part of the Sulu Archipelago, a group of islands lying to the west of Mindanao, the main island of the southern Philippines.  Tenusa (Bihintinusa) is a tiny island lying off of the southern coast of Basilan, the largest of the Sulu's.  Barely visible on a map, and with no permanent residents, Tenusa sparkles in the Sulu Sea.  The video was created by contributor Ian Gongona.

Contributor Franz_pilot created this beautiful drone video of Mindoro, a large island of the northern Philippines.  Mindoro lies off the coast of Luzon, and is itself the seventh largest island in the country.  Mindoro has a unique native culture, one which is distinct from the various cultures of Luzon to the north and the Visayan Islands to the south.  As you will see from the video, it's a mountainous island, featuring brilliant white sand beaches along its extensive coastline.

Contributor and drone pilot Andres Ascencio created this stunning aerial video of the northern part of Luzon in the Philippines.  The Iloco region of the island is located in its far northwestern corner, on the South China Sea.  It is far less well known than the area around the Lingayen Gulf which lies to the south of Iloco.  The video includes footage of "mainland" Iloco as well as of Badoc, a tiny island which is a short distance off of a peninsula at Lobit.

Animasola: Lonely Island in the Philippines

The Philippines consists of over 7,000 islands, many of which are just barely visible on a map. Here is one of them.  It's called Animasola, and it sits roughly between Burias Island and the main island of Luzon in a body of water called the Gulf of Ragay.  It's part of the Marbate province, which is in turn part of the Luzon region.  Barely visible on Google Maps if you zoom in enough, you'll see why when you check out this fantastic bird's eye view of this tiny bit of tropical paradise, compliments of Ian Gongona.

Top contributor Inigui created this magnificent aerial look at what may be the most beautiful beach in the Philippines.  Corong-Corong Beach is in the municipality of El Nido, which occupies the northern tip of Palawan Island.  It sits on Bacuit Bay, just to the south of the area's more well known beaches on El Nido Bay.  The video opens with an epic shot flying across Bacuit Bay toward a steep "mini-mountain", with Corong-Corong Beach on the right.  As the drone ascends, you'll also get a look at El Nido Bay.
