PILOTS TO WATCH - 01/31/20

AirVuzFPV

Every week brings a new wave of fantastic FPV videos to AirVuz, and we have the fun job of watching it all to share the best of the very best freestyle and cinematic vids with our enthusiastic AirVuz community.  We pick a short list of FPV pilots to feature each week, and then pack them into this cool reel because those we select are no doubt committed, talented, and they share their wares here on AirVuz (this is where the best FPV footy lives, after all).  So be a sport and *show your support* with a Like, Comment, and a Follow!

NAVAL BANDO - FPV Drone Freestyle 4K

Escape Fpv

Brace yourself for some unreal flying in a pretty sweet bando.  The über 'quick on his sticks' pilot Escape FPV used a fantastic Naval bando (what a find!) to break into the New Year, and the proof is in his flying.  He climbs those graffiti-filled walls, rolls and dives through the open spaces, and maintains his smooth-steady lines throughout.  Check out his whole profile full of FPV goodies and you'll understand why this guy has a growing Insta following, a healthy list of FPV sponsors, and an easy slide onto our FPV Pilots to Watch list in January 2020.

The Great Pyramids of Indianapolis FPV

vitopulverenti

The Great Pyramids of Indianapolis are part of a commercial development in Indiana.  While they were designed by the famed architect Kevin Roche and are known for their architectural significance, they evolved from corporate workspace to to FPV playground when drone pilot FPV VitoPulverenti sped onto the scene.   He chased up the angular edges and dove down the collossal sides to show his freestyling maneuevers.  With this being his first vid on AirVuz, we're proud to welcome him to the scene and look forward to seeing more of his creative projects.

2019 FPV Demo Reel(Yatching X Flyboarding X Diving X Girls)

Banner_Drones

Banner_Drones clearly had a banner year in 2019, and they now have this 'fun-in-the-sun' gem from Miami as a sweet FPV souvenir.  Since nothing beats the view of that skyline *from the water* either, we're treated to plenty of dope cinematic shots of hangin' out on yachts, plunging into the ocean on water slides, and friends carrying friends while flyboarding.  But the real star is Banner_Drones flying around it all, and for that, he's been added to our Pilots to Watch list for January 2020. Check out all of his content on his AirVuz profile!

Looking Back

VerJan FPV

The Castleton Tower (also known as 'Castle Rock), near Moab, Utah is a world famous subject for photography and rock climbing, and so it makes perfect sense that it would be a killer backdrop for FPV flying too.  Top FPV pilot VerJan FPV practically owns these skies, considering his great flights over Utah and Colorado, and we claim this vid as our new fave from him.  He gives us a rear-view perspective of his flight around the 1000ft high bedrock tower, and to show our appreciation, we placed him (again) on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in January 2020.

McNeil Farm MADNESS

GLDCreative

The impressive jumps and stunts witnessed in FMX (Freestyle Motocross) make it a fantastic sport for spectators, but we all know the best way to take it in is with a drone like GLDCreative's racing quad. In this killer edit, he chases the ride around X Games medalists Taka Hagashino and Jerryd McNeil.  Notably, these are two of the best in the world at their trade, and they participated in the X Games in Minneapolis (also home to AirVuz HQ) in 2019. For all of this and more, GLDCreative was added to our Pilots to Watch list in January 2020! Bravo!

BANDO MINE

Ayzen FPV

Bandos - slang for abandoned spots - are given a whole new sense of purpose when they are discovered by FPV pilots like Ayzen FPV.  In this capitivating video, we're given a careful but quick guided tour through the gaps and channels in this former coal mine in Forbach, France, near the border with Germany.  Watch carefully as he chases along the mine's train tracks, dives along the outer walls, and reminds us that *at this moment* all the action is definitely above ground.  This video landed Ayzen FPV our Pilots to Watch list in January 2020.  Bravo, Ayzen!

HOLY BRITTANY

Jlucidar

The wonderfully rugged coastline of France's Brittany region is on full display in this fantastic edit from FPV Pilot Jlucidar.  His sweeping lines over the crashing waves, as well his skimming along the cliffs show he's got the boss moves to fly over water and rocks alike.  And by weaving in some ground shots from further inland shows he's got the editing finesse to make a truly beautiful drone video.  In light of his full packed FPV talent, he's been placed on our Pilots to Watch list in January 2020. Bravo, Jlucidar!

CASTLE & FOREST CINEWHOOP

Loud FPV

The floating mist added a moody layer to this aerial tour of some of the most picturesque ruins we've seen yet.  The ethereal footage, provided by the highly skilled FPV pilot Loud FPV, guides us around the grounds and outskirts of Château Gaillard, an XII century castle in Normandy, France.  The Château, which was built starting in 1196, has a stunning view of the River Seine, but of course, the best views of all are those provided by Loud FPV and why we slated him on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in January 2020.

Acro Yoga on Lake | FPV

sandfpv

For an adept pilot like sandfpv, flying around moving humans is his favorite challenge (ever seen his stuff chasing the crazy dd_squad?)...but he went cooler than cool when flew over some action on a frozen lake in Črno Jezero, Slovenia.  The acro-yoga, performed by two talented souls braving the chilly conditions, gave this drone pilot all he needed for showing off his manueverability, and for that we've given sandFPV a cool spot on our weekly Pilots to Watch List in January 2020.  Cheers, SandFPV!

Drone FPV Mid Range with Dji HD (Alpes)

FaroùkFPV

French FPV freestyle pilot FaroùkFPV admitted there was a fair amount of stress while creating this breathtaking long range footage in the Mercantour National Park, north of Nice in France. Nonetheless, he got the job done with a help of a good friend, and he cruised through this alpine landmark, known for it's mountains, gorges, and picturesque lakes.  The final product feels like a dreamscape for the happiest of birds, so we felt like it was time for his first appearance on our FPV Pilots to Watch List in January 2020.  Bravo, Faroùk!
