FPV Pilots to Watch - March 6, 2020

Be ready to take in an all around great edit in this long-range cinematic FPV flight from FPV pilot KristianFPV.  Outside of his Barcelona, Spain homebase, he found this picturesque spot of an old stone home built onto an island on a small lake. Using three different GoPros, ReelSteady Go and of course his flying skills, Kristian_FPV pulled out all of the stops to show just how smooth he could be, and we watched this creative edit for ourselves, we knew we just had to add him to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

The breathtaking Alps outside of Nice, France were calling FPV pilot Daaaam06, and luckily he grabbed his high performance quadcopter and responded in kind: he made an epic mountain surfing flight, created a fantastic edit, and shared it here on AirVuz. These long-range flights require trust in both the drone and one's flying, and as far as we can see, Daaaam06 is up to the challenge.  Watch as he cruises along rugged and picturesque peaks, earning himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

Trust us on this one: The timeless beauty found at the National Romanian Opera house has *never* been seen like this! Drone pilot Skylens made our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020 when he uploaded this remarkable tour of this famed landmark in Bucharest, which was built in 1953.  Watch as he takes us all on an elegant flight through the entry and around the levels of the audience seating area before he navigates around the cast dancing and singing upstage.  Everything about this flight was a top performance.  Bravo, Skylens.

Château Gaillard, located in France's Eure department in Normandy, is a beautiful castle ruin and remnant of the medieval era.  It was strategically perched high on a hill with clear views of the River Seine and it provided just the backdrop for Raphael Rablat to take a flight that would place him on our March 2020 FPV Pilots to Watch list. Watch as this talented pilot gives us a quick paced tour of this remarkable landmark and the commune of Les Andelys.  Freestyling in France...bravo, Raphael!

Using his GoPro 7 to go along with his GEPRC 5" setup, AirVuz contributor and pilot maiafpv put together this marvelous first person view (FPV) diving piece from the coast of Brazil.  Tackling the lighthouse of Alagoas in Brazil's Northeastern region, his piece gives a great perspective on the lighthouse as well as the surrounding white-sand beaches, coral reefs, secluded lagoons, and other coastal scenery.  We felt it was a worthy addition to the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February, 2020. 

Every drone pilot knows that making a great reel requires a lot of great footage.  And for every clip that makes the cut, there are countless clips and tough decisions that are considered. Knowing that, check out this masterpiece from carrerasdedrones: they've packed in fantastic footage of freestyle action over open water, cascading waterfuls, motorcycles and cars, and even some horseback riding.  There's plenty of FPV technique to take in and we were plenty impressed, so we put him back on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.   

The Australian coastline provides endless ways to escape every day life and that's precisely what FPV pilot CLIFFORD FPV was seeking when he woke up that morning  His smooth, smooth flight skims over the calm waters off of New South Wales, and then he finds his ultimate flow by cruising between the pylons of a pier off the shore. The sweet symphony of these elements all coming together gave him just the moment of peace he was looking for. This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2020.

Known for his epic, high energy flights, top AirVuz contributor and first-person view (FPV) pilot Red - FPV was at it again in this film; watch as he chases some of the world's fastest kite surfers as they train for the annual PWA (Professional Windsurfers Association) Grand Slam, off the coast of Fuerteventura, one of Spain's Canary Islands. This talented drone pilot gives us a bird's-eye view on the speed, agility and raw strength required by the surfer to harness the wind power and charge through the waves.  

Team AirVuz pilot nurkfpv got the amazing chance to fly his cinewhoop first person view (FPV) drone around helicopters, spaceships and even Air Force One at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the world's oldest and largest military aviation museum. While these remarkable aircraft have the potential to be airworthy again, they have been purposefully preserved in their original state to keep them as records of Air Force history.  This incredible trip around the hanger put Nurk back on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

Some of the most iconic sights in Bali, Indonesia are the lush, stair stepped paddies used for growing rice. In this colorful drone video, first person view (FPV) drone pilot Ivan Merino takes a playful flight around the famed Tegallalang Rice Terraces.  Watch as his drone dances over the tops of the palm trees, cruises around the inviting jungle swings and seating areas.  This visually rich footage caught our attention and spurred us to add Ivan Merino to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.
