Burning Man is an annual multiday concert and personal discovery event held in the desert of Nevada in the western USA.  It began in the mid-1980's in San Francisco, switching to a desert location the next decade.  The modern era Burning Man see tens of thousands of attendees, many of whom camp in the desert during the run of the event.  Contributor Memmi used a DJI Inspire 2 drone to fly over the Burning Man grounds, treating us to this amazing aerial video.

Monterrey's Machaca Fest 2016

Machaca Fest is an annual music concert at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey, Mexico's second largest city and capital of  the state of Nuevo Leon in the north-central part of the country.  The lineup is eclectic; for example, 2018 saw appearances from indie pop singer Mon Laferte, reggaeton stars Don Omar and J Balvin, and a headlining performance from alt rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.  Contributor The Drone Experience created this amazing aerial video of the concert in 2016.

Country Fest 2017

Held in the Midwestern town of Cadott, Wisconsin, Country Fest is one of the largest multi-artist outdoor country music events in the United States.  In 2017, AirVuz collaborated with the concert organizer to provide aerial video services for the event.  AirVuz FAA licensed pilots flew over designated areas of the concert and created this amazing video which features both ground and aerial footage.

The Sabroso Music Festival is held at Doheny Point Beach in Dana Point, California, a beach community on the Pacific Ocean coastline in Orange County.  Contributor Bbloss decided to make a highly creative video involving the concert and the surrounding SoCal scene.  Using a DJI Inspire 2 drone, his video has awesome aerial shots of the concert intermixed with bird's eye views of surfers at a nearby beach.

For the third year in a row, AirVuz was an official media partner of the Basilica Block Party, a two night extravaganza to benefit the Basilica of Minneapolis, just outside of downtown.  The 2019 edition marked the 25th festival, which began as a one-night concert to help fund the ongoing preservation of the USA's oldest basilica.  Held on July 12 and 13, the lineup included Kacey Musgraves, Jason Mraz, Hanson, and Twin Cities sensations Semisonic and the Jayhawks.

The Zombie Pub Crawl is a one night multi-stage concert held in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.  The ZPC takes place during Halloween season, usually  in mid-late October.  The event is believed to be the largest pub crawl in the USA, with tens of thousands attending.  Since 2016, AirVuz has collaborated with the ZPC organizers to provide aerial and ground footage.  Here is the highlight reel from the 2017 ZPC.

Contributor Zmijans created this amazing aerial video of the EXIT Music Festival, one of the largest in Serbia.  It's held in early July in Novi Sad, Serbia's second largest city.  The festival has been running for nearly 20 years, and features internationally known musical acts.  While Novi Sad isn't the largest city in Serbia (that title goes to Belgrade) it is in some respects the cultural center of the country and thus a natural spot for large events such as EXIT.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, better known as Jazz Fest, is an annual celebration of the music form which was born in the African American community of the Big Easy.  The festival started in 1970.  Held the last week of April, it's one of the city's biggest events and draws jazz lovers from all over the world.  In this drone video by Bumble Bee Productions, you can see some of the sights and sounds of the 2019 Jazz Fest, which is held at the Fair Grounds Race Course north of downtown.

Forget Burning Man, how about the Burning Hand? Yes, you heard that right.  Contributor and drone pilot Dice Travels was in Kenya and was given the opportunity to film a truly epic New Years Eve celebration in this African country.  As the title suggests, the highlight of this particular blowout was a giant hand made of straw which was set afire in a lake, music and lights a-blazing.  It's a truly unbelievable sight, especially when seen via a bird's eye view.

The area around Brainerd in northern Minnesota has become one of the premiere lake getaway districts in the Midwestern USA.  One of the big summer events here is Lakes Jam, a three day concert festival held on the grounds of Brainerd International Raceway.  Contributor Blaze was hired by the concert to film the event in 2019, which marked its seventh anniversary.  Watch his video footage and you'll see some of his footage from the event, which included 24 musical acts.

EPIZODE 2 VIETNAM

If you don't normally associate the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam with big-time music festivals, this video will make you think again.  Top contributor jantrnkaproductions ventured to an 11 day pop/techno festival called Epizodes on Phu Quoc Island to create this rather remarkable video that includes both drone and ground camera footage.  The island is one of a group of islands in the far southern end of the country in the Kiên Giang Province.  This was the second year of the festival.

Woodstock Festival Site in Upstate New York

For a few days in mid-August, 1969, a dairy farm near Bethel, New York hosted a music festival billed as "An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music".  Featuring acts like Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, the Who, Joan Baez, the Band, and many more, the festival came to be known for the name of a nearby town: Woodstock.  In this drone video by contributor Chris Bonnano, you can get a bird's eye view of the Woodstock site, which was also used for a disastrous Woodstock revival concert in 1999.
