Stadium and Arena Tours by FPV Drones

Top AirVuz contributor Sky Candy Studios brings us this stunning first person view (FPV) drone video from Chicago's fabled Wrigley Field.  The video opens with some shots of the area around the stadium, which lies on the city's North Side.  At about the 1:35 mark, you'll head into the stadium itself, which opened in 1914 and has been the home of Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs since the 1920's.  With current capacity of just over 41k, Wrigley Field was designated a National Historical Landmark in 2020.   

Legendary first person view (FPV) pilot JohnnyFPV has probably done more than anyone on the planet to introduce highly cinematic FPV footage into the main stream.  Whether it's filming commercials for Porsche or shooting FPV footage for the big-budget feature film Red Notice, he is at the forefront of this emerging art form.  No surprise then that he was tapped by the National Football League to help create promotional footage for the 2022 Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, some of which you'll see in this epic video. 

This video proves that you only need twenty-seconds to leave a lasting impression. Taking it all in one line, with sixteen-seconds on the clock, InspireFPV brings us this FPV video of Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants.  Located in the South Beach neighborhood, the park hosted the 2002 World Series and the 2007 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, among other memorable games.  For capturing this landmark via FPV, our contributor earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2019.  

First person view (FPV) drone video footage is increasingly showing up in mainstream content.  In the Spring of 2021, top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot NDH Cinema worked with CBS Sports to create FPV footage for the 2021 NCAA Final Four men's college basketball championship.  In this amazing piece, you'll get an FPV tour of the Lucas Oil Stadium, the venue for the tournament.  Shot with a "cinewhoop" style drone, this video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2021.  More impressively, the footage was used in the CBS broadcast! 

When professional Turkish soccer team Trabzonspor recently took home the coveted Turkish League Championship, festivities broke out in the team's hometown, the Black Sea port city of Trabzon.  The epicenter of the celebration was Trabzonspor's home stadium, the Şenol Güneş Sports Complex.  And there to film it was none other than AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Cato_fpv, who woked with the team to create a unique "flyover" of the festivities with a "cinewhoop" style quad.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May, 2022.  

Since lighting up the internet with his fly-through of a bowling alley in early 2021, top contributor Jay Christensen has found himself in very high demand for his first person view (FPV) fly-through video content.  Case in point is this video, which he created in connection with a National Hockey League game broadcast on the ABC and ESPN TV networks.   It's a fly-through of Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida, which was created in connection with a broadcast of a game between the hometown Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers.  

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot dronujemy_com earned himself another spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic FPV fly-though from one of the largest football stadiums in Poland.  The Municipal Stadium in Poznań (Stadion Poznań) is located in the Grunwald District of Poland's fifth-largest city.  The occasion for the fly-through was the 100th anniversary of the Lech Poznań, the professional football team that makes its home here.  Completed in 1980, the stadium currently seats about 43k fans.   

Top AirVuz contributor Jay Christensen has done extensive aerial video work with the Minnesota Timberwolves, a franchise of the National Basketball Association.  In this remarkable piece, he demonstrates the power of "cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) mini-drones to create high impact visual media.  Beginning with a grand entrance to Target Center (the team's home arena in downtown Minneapolis), he proceeds to film Timberwolves shooting guard and 2020 #1 draft pick Anthony Edwards practicing his craft on the lit-up court.  

Take a first person view (FPV) drone fly-through of a well-known football stadium in Istanbul, Turkey in this excellent video by AirVuz contributor Ykaanyildirim.  Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium is situated in the Kadıköy District, near the southern entrance to the Bosphorus on the city's Asian (eastern) side.  Opened in 1908 and renovated numerous times, it's the home field of the Fenerbahçe Sports Club.  At times the largest sports venue in Turkey, the stadium now seats just over 50k spectators.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot G. Strondl brings us this excellent FPV video he created in connection with his work with one of the Brentford F.C., one of the United Kingdom's top professional football (soccer) clubs, and their home stadium, the Brentford Community Stadium (now known as Gtech Stadium).  Opened in 2020, the 17.2k capacity venue is located in the town of Brentford, a western suburb of London.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2022.    

Take a first-person view (FPV) tour of one of the world's most famous football (soccer) stadiums, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Ivan Merino.  Camp Nou is located in Barcelona, Spain's second-largest city after Madrid.  Opened in 1957, it's the home of professional football team FC Barcelona, which competes in the top-flight Spanish league La Liga.  With a seating capacity of just under 100k, it's the largest football stadium in Europe as of 2021 and the fourth-largest in the world as of that time.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot beto.fpv brings us this incredible FPV video from Houston, Texas.  The video was produced as part of a collaboration between the Lexus car brand and the Houston Astros, the city's Major League Baseball team.  The video opens with some shots of Minute Maid Stadium, the Astros' home field.  Then you'll fly under the Chevron Tower Walkway, aka the Skyring, before hitting other spots around the city.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list and was also a DVOW Finalist.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first-person view (FPV) pilot Dragon FPV brings us this highly cinematic FPV "tour" of a well-known football (soccer) stadium in southern Germany.  Known variously as the Augsburg Arena or the WWK Arena, it's located in the city of Augsburg, Bavaria.  Home of the FC Augsburg football team, the venue has capacity for about 30k fans, about two-thirds of which can be seated.  The stadium opened in 2009.  This video earned our content creator a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a state-of-the-art French football (soccer) stadium in this piece by Dape_prod, which was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2022.   Groupama Stadium, also known as Parc Olympique Lyonnais, is located in Décines-Charpieu, part of the metropolitan area of Lyon.  Opened in 2016, the 59k seat stadium is the home field of the Olympique Lyonnais, which won the Ligue 1 (France's highest football league) championship for seven consecutive years beginning in 2002.  

Top AirVuz contributor Jay Christensen has become one of the worldwide go-to content creators when it comes to one-shot first person view (FPV) video shoots.  That's why he was tapped to create this incredible one-shot tour of the venue for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in connection with the 2022 National Hockey League All-Star Game.  Home of the Las Vegas Golden Knights NHL team, the arena seats up to 20k.  Opened in 2016, the arena is located on the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the MGM Grand.    

See the exterior of the Chase Center by first person view (FPV) drone in this cool, one-line freestyle flight by pilot InspireFPV. The indoor area is home to the six-time NBA National Champion Golden State Warriors of San Francisco, California. The venue broke ground on January, 17th, 2017, the same year one of their championship rings was earned. It is located in the Mission Bay neighborhood and can hold just over 18,000 people. This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2019.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ivan Merino brings us this excellent FPV tour of a well-known stadium in southern Spain.  It's called the Estadio de La Cartuja, and it's located on an island of the Guadalquivir River in Seville, one of the main cities of the region of Andalusia.  The venue was opened in 1999, initially to host the 1999 World Championships in Athletics.  With a seating capacity of just under 58k, it's the second-largest football stadium in Andalusia and the sixth-largest in Spain as of 2022.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2020 with this fantastic piece from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.  Using a "cinewhoop" style drone, he was able to film the statues just outside the ballpark, the home of the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball and the venue for the 2019 All Star Game.  Using a "naked' GoPro 6 mounted to a BetaFPV 95x, his video of depictions of Hall of Famers Lou Boudreau, Larry Doby and Bob Feller is one for the ages.
