Fireworks from the Sky

The amount of fireworks in this aerial film is absolutely astounding. Check out what Reykjavik, Iceland looks like on New Year's Day thanks to pilot Siggizoom. The Petronas Towers are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They were the tallest buildings in the world between 1998 and 2004, and remain the tallest twin towers in the world. The towers house commercial offices and are tourist attractions because of their observation decks. The architectural style is Postmodern Islamic and the building host around $1.6 billion USD. Hundreds of fireworks; ringing in the New Year in the great city of Milan, Italy looks like quite the spectacle in this aerial video by top AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Dronescapes by Atellani. The lit sky shows pops of the very old, distinctive architecture of ancient Italy contrasting against the new, glamorous, glass highrises. Italy's second-largest city (after Rome), Milan is the country's principal commercial and financial center.  The capital of the northern region of Lombardy, it's considered the motor of the Italian economy.  

The Scarlet Sails (Алые паруса in Russian) is a celebration in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is the biggest and most famous event during the White Nights Festival every summer, when the days are virtually endless. The spectacular fireworks, epic concerts, and massive water show brings more than one million people to the city to celebrate. Drone pilot DroneProduction.ru captures the massive party in this spectacular, 4K drone video featuring the thousands of fireworks that light up the night. 

Now this is an incredible event to be seen by FPV drone, shot by DRL pilot ShaggyFPV. He’s taking us to the Defqon 1. Festival 2019. The annual music festival is held in the Netherlands, Chile, and Australia where the music is all electronic dance music: mostly hardcore techno, hard house and hard trance. Here you’ll see the elaborate setup of the stage as well as the hundreds of fireworks the organizers shoot off, all from the eyes of ShaggyFPV’s 5-inch mini quad. 

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Felix Grubbe brings us this fantastic FPV video of a fireworks display over Italy.  The video was shot in the town of Adelfia, in the Apulia region of the southeastern corner of the country.  Unusually, this fireworks show takes place in the daytime giving us a view of the ground as well as of the projectiles as they rise up from the ground before exploding in mid-air.  It makes for an amazing visual perspective, earning the video a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Check out this drone video over one of the most well-known football (soccer) stadiums in Argentina, compliments of contributor Cinepilots.  It's called Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón (also known as El Cilindro de Avellaneda), and it's based in the Avellaneda District of Buenos Aires.  It's the home field of the Racing Club de Avellaneda, one of the so-called "Big 5" professional teams in this famously football-crazy country.  The drone video captures a fireworks celebration over the stadium following a game.  

AirVuz collaborated with the Minneapolis Downtown Council to produce this drone video of the fireworks celebration that caps off the city's biggest summer festival.  The Minneapolis Aquatennial occurs in mid-July and celebrates the aquatic heritage of the city, known as the City of Lakes.  The last night of the week+ long celebration is a large fireworks display over the Mississippi River near downtown, which for many years has been sponsored by the Minneapolis-based retailer Target.  

To fly through fireworks would be a magical experience for any pilot. FPV pilot controlflow had that opportunity recently thanks, in part, to DroneSportsGlobal, a group of drone pilots based in Russia. He’s flying through the fireworks with such control that he’s able to slow the footage way down in post-production, allowing the viewer to see every single fireball as it explodes from the central firework. It’s incredibly impressive and a type of flying we’d love to see more of.
