The Golden Gate Bridge connects the City of San Francisco with Marin County to its north, at the opening of San Francisco Bay.  It was conceived during the depths of the Great Depression, and at the time of its completion in 1937, it was the longest and tallest suspension span bridge in the world at 1.3k meters (4.2k ft.).  Contributor and pilot Jordanthe used a drone to create a memorable aerial view of this bridge, which since its construction has been one of the most iconic sites in the United States.

The Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge is a massive span which crosses the Dneiper River in Kiev, Ukraine.  It is the capital city's northernmost (upriver) crossing point, spanning a difficult and wide stretch of it compared to the crossing points of the downriver bridges.  Opened in 1976, the 816 meter (about 2.7k ft.) cable-stayed suspension bridge  was a major Soviet era infrastructure investment.  Contributor CamFly  flew a drone over the span at sunset to create this amazing bird's eye view.

The Brooklyn Bridge connects the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan over the East River.  Completed in 1883, the construction of the 1.8k meter (almost 6k ft.) long hybrid cable-stayed/suspension bridge is considered to be one of the most important events in the building of modern day New York City.  In this aerial video, content creator and pilot Sikview flew a DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone over the bridge, providing us with a memorable bird's eye view of this immense structure.

Bolshoi Obukhovsky Bridge is the newest bridge crossing the Neva River in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Competed in 2004, the 2.8k meter (about 9.2k ft) cable suspension bridge is the only St. Petersburg bridge which is not a drawbridge.  Contributo Dronemedia.me used a DJI Phantom drone to create a bird's eye view of this monumental span, an important addition to the infrastructure of Russia's second largest city and one which instantly received worldwide recognition due to its highly complex design.

Prague's Charles Bridge is one of the most recognized sites of the Czech capital city.  The bridge, which took 45 years to build, connects Prague Castle with the city's historic Old Town.  At 515 meters in length (1.7k ft), the stone span over the Vltava River represented an immense technological achievement at the time it was completed 1402.  Contributor Alan Chan used a DJI Phantom 3 drone to create an impressive bird's eye view of this treasured historical landmark in the heart of Central Europe.

The Stone Arch Bridge crosses the Mississippi River at St. Anthony Falls, the historic heart of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  It was built by railwayman James J. Hill in the late 1800's to provide transportation for the flour milling industry which turned Minneapolis into the USA's fastest growing city during its Gilded Age.  Now, the Stone Arch is a footbridge, providing the best views of the Falls and the adjacent downtown district.  See the Stone Arch from above in this drone video by contributor Gianlo.

Mackinac Bridge connects mainland Michigan to the Upper Peninsula, and sits at the divide between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.   Built in 1957, the bridge is roughly 8 km (roughly 5 mi) long, making it one of the longest bridges in the United States.  It passes to the west of Mackinac Island, a popular Lake Huron tourist area, which is home to some of the best sailing waters in the country.  Northern POV used a drone and some creative editing to make this amazing aerial video of this important span.

The Orinoco River, which is situated primarily in Venezuela, is the fourth largest river system in the world by discharge rate.  Due to its width, the Orinoco was not bridged until the construction of the Angostura Bridge near Bolivar, in the southeastern part of the country. Contributor and pilot DJIVzla Drone used a DJI Inspire drone to create this aerial video of the roughly 700 meter (about 2.3k ft.) suspension bridge, which was built in 1967 and until 2006 was the mighty river's only crossing.

Contributor Jorge Novo Murias used a drone to create this epic bird's eye view of of Portugal's Vasco de Gama Bridge.  The highly complex span was completed in 1998 in connection with Expo 1998, the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama's epic voyage to India.  The cable-stayed bridge, which is the second longest in Europe, spans 12.3 km (7.3 mi) over the Tagus river.  Like the Pon 25 de Abril Bridge, it's now a critical part of metropolitan Lisbon's infrastructure.

Contributor CH Drone created this amazing aerial video of London's Tower Bridge, one of the world's most iconic spans.  Like the older London Bridge, it crosses the Thames River, the waterway which gave rise to the great city on its banks.  Tower Bridge was built in the late 19th century when the growth of the City of London necessitated a second bridge (although technically its northern end is not in the City).  The bridge was prominently featured when London hosted the Summer Olympics in 2012.

Contributor Justhowes created this beautiful drone video of an important modern historical landmark in Vietnam.  The Long Bien Bridge crosses the Red River in Hanoi, connecting two of the capital city's districts.  Originally called the Paul Doumer Bridge, the 2.4 km (1.5 mi.) cantilever span was designed and built during the French Colonial era, opening in 1903.  Due to its strategic importance, the Long Bien Bridge was bombed repeatedly during the US Vietnam War, and repeatedly repaired.

In this video, contributor EdDrone used a DJI Mavic Air to aerially capture the fun of a sunset cruise in Sydney Harbor, Australia.  The sequence opens and closes with some great shots of what is perhaps the city's most prominent landmark, the Harbor Bridge.  Built in the 1930's, the 1.15k meter (about 3.8k ft.) through-arch bridge was similarly important to Sydney, connecting its downtown to the North Shore.  It is the world's tallest steel arch bridge, and by most accounts the most beautiful.

When it opened in the early 1950's, Chesapeake Bay Bridge was the longest over-water span in the world at 6.9 km (4.3 mi.).  Now a dual span bridge, it connects Maryland's eastern and western shores of Chesapeake Bay.  Contributor Eyes in the Sky used a drone to create this impressive aerial video of this impressive steel span, officially known as the Gov. William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge.  The bridge was the filming location for a high profile scene in the 2006 movie Mission: Impossible III.

Contributor Juliendrone created this beautiful video of the Pont du Gard, one of the world's most well known aqueduct bridges.  It spans the Gardon River in the Gard Department of the Occitanie region of Southern France.  It was built in the first century AD to provide water to the nearby city of Nimes.  The world's highest elevated aqueduct, the 275 meter (900 ft.) stone bridge was designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1985.  The stone structure was last known to be used in the 6th century.

The first bridge to cross the Delaware River in Philadelphia was the Delaware River Bridge, which connects the Pennsylvania city to neighboring New Jersey.  Now  known as the Ben Franklin Bridge, it opened in 1926, in connection with the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  When built, its 530 meter (roughly 1.75k ft.) main span was the longest in the world.  See this beautiful bridge in hyperlapse, compliments of contributor Chris Dantonio and his DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.

Dutch contributor XL Creations created this spectacular drone video of the longest bridge in the Netherlands.  The Zeelandbrug (usually referred to simply as the Zeeland Bridge) connects the islands of Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland over the estuary of the Scheldt River in the Zeeland province.  Built in the early 1960's, at the time of completion it was the longest bridge in Europe.  Composed of 50 spans, the bridge has a total length of just over five kilometers, or about three miles.

Top contributor and pilot Mattcoq used a DJI Phantom 3 drone to create this remarkable aerial video of two of China's most famous bridges, both of which cross the Huangpu River in Shanghai.  The opening shot is of the 2003 vintage Lupu Bridge; its main spain of 550 meters (1.8k ft.) makes it the second longest arch bridge span in the world.  The latter part of the video shifts to the Yangpu Bridge; its unique design led it to appearing at the #9 spot on CNN's 2017 survey of the world's most amazing bridges.

In this drone video by ADXGlock, you'll get a bird's eye view of one of the world's highest bridges.  Built in 1928, the Royal Gorge Bridge spans Royal Gorge in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, in the western USA.  The suspension bridge's 268 meter (880 ft.) main span sits almost 300 meters (855 ft.) above the Arkansas River.  It was the tallest bridge in the world (suspension or otherwise) until 2001 and the tallest suspension bridge for another two years after that before being superceded by two bridges in China.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is the newest and northernmost of the three spans which cross the Straits of Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey.  Sometimes called the Third Bridge, the bridge has a a total length of over 2k meters (7.1k ft.).  Opened in 2016, it carries both road and rail traffic between the western (European) and eastern (Asian) sides of the great city.  Contributor Pascha brings us this stunning aerial view of this span, which is the second highest in the world at 320 meters (over 1.0k ft.).

The George Washington Bridge has the distinction of being the world's busiest in terms of annual motor traffic - it carries over 100 million vehicles per year over the Hudson River between Upper Manhattan in New York City and Fort Lee, New Jersey.  The double decker suspension bridge, which carries 14 lanes of traffic, has a length of 1.45k meters (almost 4.8k ft.).  Inmotionaerial created this amazing drone video of the bridge, which was completed in 1931 and was the first span over the Lower Hudson.

In this drone video by contributor Erman Çatı, you'll get some epic bird's eye views of one of the most important bridges in Istanbul, Turkey.  The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge is the second of the three bridges which span the Straits of Bosphorus that bisects the great city.  Completed in 1988, the suspension bridge runs just over 1.5k meters (about 4.9k ft.) in total.  Both chronologically and physically, it sits between the 15 July Martyr's Bridge (opened in 1973) and the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (2016).

Contributor Ninjaone created this epic drone video of the Queensboro Bridge, a vital yet under-appreciated part of the infrastructure of New York City.  Also known as the 59th Street Bridge, it connects Midtown Manhattan with the borough of Queens over the East River.  The cantilevered bridge was opened in 1909, the same year as the Manhattan Bridge, which connects Lower Manhattan to the borough of Brooklyn.  The Queensboro Bridge is the point at which the New York Marathon crosses into Manhattan.

Osullivanstudios brings us this amazing aerial of the destruction of New York City's Tappan Zee Bridge.  It crosses the Hudson River at one of its widest points, and at almost 5 km (about 3 mi.) it was the state's longest span when it opened in 1955.  In the early 2000's, it became something of a poster-child for crumbling US infrastructure, and a $6 billion+ package was assembled to build a replacement.  The new Mario M. Cuomo Bridge opened in 2017, following which the original bridge was demolished.

Contributor and pilot Worldpitou created this beautiful drone video of Bangkok's Bhumibol Bridge, one of the most advanced bridge designs in the world.  Also known as the Industrial Ring Road Bridge, the Bhumipol crosses the Chao Praya River in two separate spots, with one span over just over 700 meters and one just under 600 meters.  Opened in 2006, it forms part of a gigantic infrastructure investment program to alleviate Bangkok's legendary traffic issues caused by the city's explosive growth.

Contributor Flying Horizons used his DJI Mavic Pro drone to create this beautiful aerial tour of Kanchanaburi, an important cultural center lying a bit northwest of Bangkok.  The first half of the video features beautiful aerial footage of the infamous Bridge Over the River Kwai, a span over the Mae Klong River built by Imperial Japan in World War II with slave and POW labor which inspired a famous 1952 novel by French author Pierre Boulle that was later adapted to an Oscar-winning screenplay.

Contributor and drone pilot gokhanakman created this amazing aerial video of one of the world's longest suspension bridges.  The Osmangazi Bridge spans the Gulf of İzmit, an eastern extension of the Sea of Marmara in northwestern Turkey.  The bridge, which opened in mid-2016, has a total length of almost 2.7k meters (almost 8.8k ft.).  Among other things, the span greatly shortened the driving distance between Istanbul and İzmir, the country's largest and third largest cities, respectively.

Here's a great aerial view of one of the most important bridges in Istanbul, Turkey, compliments of contributor and pilot gokhanakman.  The subject is the Bosphorus Bridge, also known as the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. It spans the Bosphorus Strait between the western (European) and eastern (Asian) side of the great metropolis.  Completed in 1973, the bridge has a total length of about 1.55k meters (around 5.1k ft.).  It's the oldest and southernmost of the three bridges which now cross the Bosphorus Strait.

Content creator and pilot SDPilot created this excellent drone video of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, one of New York City's  more important pieces of infrastructure.  It connects the borroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn over a body of water called the Narrows, which connects Upper New York Bay (aka New York Harbor) with the Lower Bay and thence to the Atlantic Ocean.  Completed in 1964, the bridge's central span of 1.3k meters (about 4.25k ft.) was the longest in the world for nearly two decades.

The Bear Mountain Bridge spans the Hudson River in New York State, about an hour's drive north of New York City.  The bridge has a total length of just under 700 meters (around 2.45k ft.).  When it opened in 1924, the Bear Mountain Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world.  It didn't hold the title long, though - in less than two years it was surpassed by Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Bridge.  Check out the Bear Mountain Bridge from above in this drone video by Chris Bonanno, shot with a DJI Mavic Pro 2.

Florence, Italy, the capital of the country's Tuscany region, is situated on the banks of the Arno River, one of the country's most important waterways.  As much as any city on earth, the city is inseparabe from its bridges.  In this drone video by Lego, you'll get a marvelous bird's eye view of the great city's numerous spans.  The centerpiece is the Ponte Vecchio with its distinctive enclosed design.  The current rendition dates to the 14th century, but it's believed there was a bridge here during Roman times.

Check out this drone video of New York's Williamsburg Bridge, compliments of content creator and pilot JeromeS.  The bridge spans the East River between the Lower East Side of Manhattan and the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn.  It has a total length of a bit over 2.2k meters (around 7.3k ft.), with its longest span at 490 meters (1.6k ft.).  Opened in 1903, the Williamsburg Bridge was the longest span in the world for over two decades until the completion of the Bear Mountain Bridge in 1924.

Contributor guydrory created this stunning aerial view of Porto, the principal city of northern Portugal.  The video shows the beautiful area of the city core along the Douro River, from which Portugal's (and thus Europe's) Age of Discovery began with Henry the Navigator's expedition to North Africa in 1415.  The video also has epic footage of the Dom Luís I Bridge, which spans the great river from Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia and which was the world's longest metal arch bridge when completed in 1881.

Contributor Roodaap Aerial Videography used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to create an impressive bird's eye view of the most widely recognized bridge of the Caribbean Islands.  Queen Juliana Bridge spans St. Anna Bay in Willemstad, the capital of the Dutch territory Curacao.  While under construction in 1967 the bridge collapsed and killed 15 workers, a highly significant event in the island's history.  Finally opened in 1974, it offers spectacular views from its 55 meter (185 ft.) deck height.

Contributor Ian Appleton created this beautiful aerial video of the Forth Bridge, the most famous span in Scotland.  Opened in 1890, the cantilevered rail bridge spans the Firth of Forth, the estuary of the River Forth on which the city of Edinburgh sits.  With a total length of almost 2.5k meters (just under 8.1k ft.), it was the longest cantilever bridge when it opened, and is still the second-longest today after Canada's Quebec Bridge.  The Forth Bridge has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The subject of this drone video by ante de la creme is one of the world's most famous bridges - Stari Most (translated as "Old Bridge") in the town of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The stone arch bridge over the Neretva River is a modest 29 meters (about 130 feet) but when it was completed in the mid-16th century it was considered a monumental structure. During the Yugoslav Civil War, the bridge was hit by dozen of shells and virtually destroyed; it was later carefully reconstructed. This video was a DVOW finalist in October, 2019.

Check out this excellent 4k drone video of the twin-span Tacoma Narrows Bridge near Seattle, Washington, compliments of contributor cward360.  The older of the two bridges over the Puget Sound strait was completed in 1950, replacing the infamous Galloping Gertie bridge which collapsed within six months of opening in 1940.  Its main span of 853 meters (about 2.8k ft.) made it the world's third-longest suspension bridge when it opened.  The newer span opened in 2007 and now handles eastbound traffic.

Contributor JohnnyWong created this drone video of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, one of the world's largest infrastructure investments.  It's actually not a single bridge but three bridges, an underwater tunnel, and a series of artificial islands.  It connects the cities of Hong Kong and Macau, the two main cities at the mouth of the Pearl River estuary, both of which are semi-autonomous regions within China.  The span was completed in early 2018, and cost nearly US $20 billion to build.

Contributor and pilot TampaRandy created this drone tour of a stretch of the Florida Keys running from Islamorada and Seven Mile Bridge.  While it's not actually seven miles (it's 10.9k meters or about 6.8k miles), it was one of the longest bridges in the world when it opened in 1912 as a railway extension.  The popular drive is actually two bridges now; the more recent one was built in 1982.  The bridge was the filming scene in the 18th James Bond film License to Kill (1989) in which a truck is driven off of it.

Check out this drone video of the longest bridge in the Philippines, compliments of contributor Omell.  The San Juanico Bridge runs between Samar and Leyte, two of the largest islands within the Central Visayan group which makes up the central part of the country.  Completed in 1973, the truss bridge has a total length of almost 2.2k meters (around 7.1k ft.).  It's part of a road system known as the Pan Philippines Highway, a system of roads and ferries which connects most of the country's largest islands.

Contributor and pilot Mike Miguel used a drone to aerially capture one of the most important bridges in Norway.  The Hardanger Bridge crosses a branch of the Hardanger Fjord in Hordaland County in Western Norway.  It connects the municipalities of Ullensvang and Ulvik, although its primary purpose was to shorten the driving time between the national capital Oslo and Bergen, the country's second largest city.  At 1.4k meters (about 4.5k ft.), it's the longest suspension bridge in Norway.

The Triborough Bridge is probably the most important span in New York City, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx.  It's actually a complex of three bridges, the most well-known of which is the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge connecting Wards Island with Queens.  The Triborough opened in 1936, the same year as another bridge which is comparably important to its host city: the San Francisco Bay Bridge.  Check out the Triborough as well as the nearby Hellgate Bridge in this drone video by El Buho.

Check out this drone video of a famous bridge in Switzerland, compliments of Esteban Castle.  It's called Kapellbrücke, and it's a covered wooden footbridge over the Reusse River in Lucerne, the largest city in central Switzerland.  The bridge was built in the 14th century as part of the city's defensive system.  Kapellbrücke is the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe.  The 205 meter (672ft.) span was nearly destroyed by a fire in 1993; subsequently restored, it's one of the top tourist attractions in the region.

When Hong Kong opened a new international airport on Chek Lap Kok Island in 1998, a massive investment in ground infrastructure was required to connect the airport to the city.  The most significant of these was the Tsing Ma Bridge, which connects two islands between the airport and Kowloon.  Seen here in this drone video by contributor minglam, the bridge's main span is almost 1.4k meters or about 4.6k ft.  It was the second-longest suspension bridge in the word when it was completed in 1997.

If you've traveled from Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok Airport (the territory's main airport since 1998) to Kowloon or Hong Kong Island in the last dozen years, you have likely traversed the Stonecutters Bridge.  Seen here in this drone video by caldina3188, the cable-stayed bridge spans the Rambler Channel between the cape of Nam Wan Kok and Stonecutters Island.  Opened in 2009, it's the third-longest bridge of its type in the world as of 2019, with a total length of 1.6k meters or just over 5.2k ft.

The San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge is the proverbial "glue" which holds the Bay Area of Northern California together.  Spanning between San Francisco and Oakland, the bridge has a total length of 7.2 km or just under 4.5 mi.   When the 1989 earthquake demonstrated the bridge's structural weakness, the western side of the bridge was retrofitted while the eastern span between Treasure Island and Oakland was replaced at a staggering cost of $6.5 billion.  Check out the modern wonder from above in this drone video by Grigori6032.

The UK's Humber Bridge spans the Humber River near the city of near Kingston-upon-Hill in the Yorkshire region of northeastern England.  The span has a total length of 2.2k meters or about 7.3k ft.  At the time the bridge was completed in 1981, it was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world; as of 2019, it's still amongst the dozen longest of its type.  Seen from above in this excellent drone video by new contributor gavstacey, the Umber connects the East Riding of Yorkshire with North Lincolnshire.

The Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence, Italy is one of the world's most well-known bridges.  It spans 32 meters (105 ft.) over the Arno River, in the heart of the great Tuscan capital city.  It was built in the 14th century, using the remains of an earlier structure.  Lined with shops, it's one of the most popular attractions in Florence.  It's part of the Vasari Corridor, which connects the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti.   Check out the famous bridge from above in this drone video by new contributor otnieldavid.

For a first upload to AirVuz, Rich Wilts brings us this outstanding drone video England's Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of the UK's most famous.  Completed in 1864, the bridge crosses a canyon of the River Avon in Southwest England.  It connects the Bristol suburb of Clifton with the village of Leigh Woods in County Somerset.  With a total length of 412 meters (about 1.35k ft.) and a height of just over 100 meters (330 ft.) above the river's high water mark, the bridge was considered one of the great engineering feats of its day.

Check out this fantastic drone video from the Aveyron Department of south-central France, compliments of alexdenphotography.  The video opens with some aerial footage of a village in the hills of the department, part of the Occitanie Region.  The star of the show is the Millau Viaduct, which you'll see starting at the 3:00 mark. Completed in 2004, the bridge spans a gorge of the Tarn River and is considered a marvel of modern civil engineering.  It's the world's tallest bridge, with a structural height of 336 meters (about 1.1k ft.).

The story Bridge is one of the more well-known bridges in Australia.  It spans the Brisbane River between the northern and southern suburbs of Brisbane, the capital of the state of Queensland and the country's third-largest city after Sydney and Melbourne.  Completed in 1940, it was the second of the city's river crossings.  With a total length of about 777 meters (around 2.5k ft.) it is the longest cantilevered bridge in Australia.  You can see it from above in this beautiful drone video from digiotto, shot on Christmas Eve.

Bridges are the lifeblood of Budapest, a city formed in 1873 by the union of the cities of Buda and Pest on either side of the Danube River in western Hungary.  The most famous of these bridges is the first: the Széchenyi Chain Bridge.  Seen in this drone video by tom g bp, the bridge links  Adam Clark Square on the Buda (western) side of the Danube with Szécheny Square on the Pest (eastern) side.  Spanning 374 meters (1.23k ft.), it was considered a great feat of 19th century engineering when it was completed in 1849.

The Valentré Bridge (Pont Valentré) is a historical landmark in Southern France.  It spans the Lot River near the town of Cahors, in the Lot Department of the official Occitanie region.  Situated on a strategic bend in the river, the bridge took most of the 14th century to complete.  Its construction is tied to a local legend concerning a pact that one of the bridge foremen made with the Devil to complete its construction.  You can check out the Pont Valentré from above in this drone video by CyRiLbkl.

Kuwait's Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway is one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects ever undertaken in the Middle East.  Seen in this excellent drone video by The Drone Life PK, the just-completed bridge system spans Kuwait Bay in two places: a longer span between Kuwait City and the northern area of Subiya, and a shorter link connecting central KC to the Kuwait Entertainment City area near the head of the bay.  The longer link measures 36 km (about 21 mi.), making it the world's fourth-longest bridge as of 2019.

Check out this drone video of the fashionable West London district of Hammersmith, compliments of MariusMiginis.  The video captures some rowers on the River Thames, which marks the district's southwestern boundary.  It also features some excellent footage of the Hammersmith Bridge, which connects Hammersmith to the Richmond Borough on the river's south bank.  Completed in 1887, it has a length of 210 meters or 700 ft.  In April of 2019, the bridge was closed to motor traffic due to structural weakness, pending repairs.

Check out this drone video of a famous bridge in the USA's New England region, compliments of contributor rdrivas.  It's called the New Portland Wire Bridge and it's in the interior town of New Portland in the state of Maine.  It's a cable suspension bridge which was opened in 1866, right after the end of the US Civil War.  It's believed to be one of the last bridges of this design in existence.  The 57 meter (188 ft.) long bridge spans the Carrabassett River.  It's listed on the US Register of Historic Places

The Throggs Neck Bridge is the newest and easternmost of the six bridges which span the East River in New York City.  Situated just east of the Bronx Whitestone Bridge, it carries the traffic of Interstate 295 from the Bay Terrace neighborhood of Queens to the Throggs Neck neighborhood in the Bronx. This excellent piece by AirVuz contributor SioU uses a combination of archival and drone footage to tell the story of the Rio-Antirrio Bridge, considered one of the modern wonders of Greece.  The cable-stayed structure spans the Gulf of Corinth, connecting the mainland of Central Greece with the city of Patras on the Peloponnese Peninsula.  With a total length of almost 2.9k meters (almost 9.5k ft.), it's one of the longest bridges of its type in the world.  It was opened just before the Athens-hosted 2004 Summer Olympics.
