2020 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 26

Every week, our team reviews every video uploaded to the site to pick the Top 5 videos. Then, we name our favorite as our Drone Video of the Week and send that drone pilot $ 250. Drone pilot and new AirVūz contributor elstevedore created this beautiful aerial compilation of California's North Coast. The North Coast is a region on California's Pacific Ocean (west) side that stretches from San Francisco all the way up to the Oregon border a distance of over 600 km (around 370 mi.) by road. Notable locations along the North Coast are Redwood National Park, Point Reyes National Seashore, Sonoma Valley, and the Golden Gate Bridge. This video was a DVOW finalist in June 2020.  

Prepare to be blown away by this drone video from the republic of Dagestan in Southern Russia by Drone Video of the Month Winner DiamondSky.  With its eastern border on the Caspian Sea, most of the Muslim-majority Federal Subject (essentially, province) is covered by the northern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains, which divide Europe from Asia.  The focus of the video is Dagestan's interior, whose rock formations, canyons, waterfalls, and other features make for some of the finest natural scenery in all of Russia.  

DVOW Finalist DigitalTravelCouple brings us this magnificent travel video from the ancient and mysterious Southeast Asian country of Myanmar.  The video opens with views of Inle Lake in the Shan Hills of eastern Myanmar, the country's second-largest lake.  Then it's on to Bagan, the one-time capital of the Pagan Kingdom which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Other featured locations include the Mingun Pahtodawgyi and the Mya Thein Tan Pagoda near the city of Mingun, the southern city of Hpa An, and the U Bein Bridge in Mandalay.

AirVuz contributor and pilot @DronDuilio brings us this fantastic drone tour of southern Argentina.  Argentina and neighboring Chile share the southern cone of South America, a region known as Patagonia.  The region consists of a series of steppes (plains) arrayed in rising terraces as one travels east to west, giving way to the Andes Mountains and then the Pacific coast.  Roughly 90% of Patagonia's land area lies in Argentina, covering all or parts of six provinces:  La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego.

Southeastern Alaska is home to some of the finest natural scenery in North America.  The region sits well south of the Alaskan "mainland", between the Canadian province of British Columbia and the Pacific Ocean.  Check out some of the visual highlights of this magical land in this excellent piece by DVOW Finalist Drone_Alaska.  The video features footage of the following locations: Wrangell Island, Petersburg, the Stikine River, Thomas Bay, LeConte Glacier, Baird Glacier, Shakes Glacier, Anita Bay, Etolin Island, and Liesnoi Island.
