2020 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 5

MV Agusta is one of the most storied names in motorcycles.  Based in Milan, the company collaborated with two-time Drone Video Award winner Timelab.pro to produce this magnificent piece from the mountains of northern Italy.  You'll aerially follow an Agusta bike through some of the world's most beautiful scenery, and then do things no bike will ever do, like soar through the peaks of the Dolomites, or skim over shimmering alpine lakes.  Filmed in the Fall, the video is expertly color-graded in the vaunted Timelab style.  

Every week, our team reviews every video uploaded to the site to pick the Top 5 videos.  Then, we name our favorite as our Drone Video of the Week and send that drone pilot $250.  (The winning video is also then a contender for Drone Video of the Month.) Take a 90 second world aerial tour in this outstanding international travel reel by new AirVuz contributor Iverp. There's something for everyone here - landscapes, "people shots", and dronies.  The spots shown span across three continents, with the majority from Asia.  In quick succession, you'll get aerial glimpses of tropical paradise islands in the Philippines, towering volcanoes in Indonesia, and golden temple statues in Thailand.  The video also features footage from Brazil, Norway, and Malaysia.

Top AirVuz contributor and former Drone Video of the Week winner Seven Roads Media put together this excellent piece, which covers highlights of their work over the course of 2019.  It features footage from all over the world, starting with some epic shots of a mountain valley in Colorado, then transitioning to the rocky coastline of Iceland.  You'll also be treated to some great aerial views of Costa Rica, Fall foliage in Upstate New York, and an awesome closing shot of the Stanley Hotel back in Colorado.  

Top contributor and former Drone Video of the Week winner ArturCarvalho created this excellent piece from his hometown of Cascais, Portugal.  Cascais is a beach town which is located about a half hour drive due west of Lisbon, just past the mouth of the Tagus River.   It's part of the Portuguese Riviera, a stretch of coastline west and northwest of Lisbon which became popular with the Portuguese Royal Family in the second half of the 19th century and continues to be one of Europe's most popular beach destinations.  

Top AirVuz contributor iDrone Aerials put together this fantastic aerial tour of southern Iceland, showing off the wonder of this North Atlantic island.  The video features epic shots from some of Iceland's most famous spots.  Some of the locations you'll see include the iconic church in the town of Vik (at the :33 mark), the giant Vatnajökull glacier (:45), one of the island's black sand beaches (1:05), the mighty Gulfoss Waterfall (1:15), the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa (1:30), the Dyrholaey rock arch (1:35), and more.
