2022: Drone Video of the Week - Episode 46

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Winner denisbarbas brings us this stunning travel video from Iceland.  Combining aerial footage from the new DJI Mavic 3 Classic with ground camera shots, the video features footage of some of the most spectacular Iceland spots, including (in order of first appearance): Fjadrargljufur Canyon, the Skogafoss watefall, the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, the Vatnajokull ice cap, and more.  You'll also be treated to shots of some of Iceland's black sand beaches, its highlands, and more.    

This fantastic drone video of Iceland from AirVuz contributor bernatmoreno opens with a shot looking down on one of the massive glaciers that cover much of the North Atlantic island nation, followed by a shot of one of Iceland's fabled black sand beaches.  Then you'll fly over Fjadrargljufur Canyon, which runs for about a mile (about two km) in the southeastern part of the island.  Other highlights include the basalt rock columns of Reynisfjara Beach (at about the 1:25 mark), the mighty Gulfoss waterfall (1:40), and more.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Yukix brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of skiers in the Alps Mountains.  The video is a great example of how (well-piloted) FPV drones can capture the action inherent in backcountry skiing from an entirely new perspective, taking advantage of the speed of these quads to keep up with even the fastest skiers.  The piece features some particularly good trick/stunt skiing footage, some of the best kind of footage that we've seen at AirVuz.  

Former DVOW Finalist and FPV Pilot to Watch Dani Doncel used a DJI Mavic Mini 2 to create this stunning aerial view of the Alps Mountains in the heart of Europe.  The video opens with a magnificent shot of the Matterhorn, which is located in Switzerland near the Italian border and is one of the world's most famous mountains.  Further on, you'll visit the Dolomites, a subchain of the Southern Limestone Alps in northeastern Italy.  You'll also be treated to views of cultural treasures such as Neuschwanstein Castle in the Bavarian Alps.  

AirVuz contributor vuralelibol earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent drone video from New York City.   The video was filmed on a foggy morning looking east over the Hudson River from Weehawken, New Jersey.  The video features some excellent footage of the ultra-thin residential skyscrapers along Billionaire's Row just south of Central Park in Midtown Manhattan, the tower of the Hudson Yards complex on Manhattan's West Side, as well as the remaining piers along the Hudson River.
