2022 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 38

Check out this stunning drone video of an epic footrace in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia, compliments of new AirVuz contributor FLY DOG.  The race has a course of 60 mi. (100 km) through some of the most beautiful alpine scenery in the world.  The main line of the Caucasus Mountains forms the natural boundary between the Republic of Georgia and its Russian neighbor to the north.  With peaks of up to 18.5k ft. above sea level (a bit over 5.6k m), they also form the boundary between the European and Asian continents.    

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist returns to AirVuz after a two year hiatus with this magnificent travel drone video from Spain.  The video features the following locations: Las Catedrales Beach, in Cantabria;  the Mines of Mazarrón in the southeastern region of Murcia; the lighthouse of Punta Robaleira in Pontevedra, province of the (northwestern) Galicia region; the waterfall of Ézaro in A Coruña, another Galician province; the city of Benidorm in the eastern region of Galicia; the great city of Toledo, near Madrid; and more.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor Kobebryt brings us this fantastic drone video from the fabled Spanish island of Mallorca.  Shot with a DJI Air 2S drone, the video opens with a shot of one of the island's many tiny bays, followed by a view of one of the winding roads that run into the mountains which cover much of the island's interior.  At the :19 mark, you'll see one of the watchtowers which dot the coast of the island.  Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean Sea.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist DroneDirector brings us this stunning drone video from the Faroe Islands, the Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The video was shot over the island of Mykines, which is the westernmost of the 18 principal islands which make up the group.  Covering only about four square mi. (around ten square km), Mykines has a full-time population of fewer than a dozen residents.  The video opens with a great shot of the long peninsula which makes up the western extent of the island. 

Check out these stunning drone views from the northern part of Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor SKY DIRECTOR.  The first part of the video was filmed over Senja, a mountainous island which is the second-largest in the country outside of the Svalbard Archipelago.  The island is part of Troms og Finnmark, the northernmost of the "mainland" counties of Norway.  The remainder of the video was filmed over the Lofoten Islands, an archipelago which lies to the south of Senja but which is also inside the Arctic Circle.
