Each and every week brings a new wave of fantastic FPV videos to AirVuz, and we have the fun job of watching it all to share the best of the best with our enthusiastic AirVuz community. We take our sweet time to then pick a short list of FPV pilots to feature each week, and we pack them into this cool reel because those we select are no doubt committed, talented, and they share their wares here on AirVuz (this is where the best FPV footy lives, after all). So be a sport and *show your support* with a Like, Comment, and a Follow.

San Francisco's Ferry Building 🌆🛥🏛⏱

The virtual shutdown of San Francisco by the Covid-19 pandemic in March of 2020 created eerie sights across the great city, scenes which would have been unaminaginable even a few weeks before "social distancing" became the worldwide watchword. Flying in isolation, drone pilots were able to film some of the city's landmarks which would ordinarily be overrun by visitors. Case in point is this first person view (FPV) piece by InspireFPV; he was able to use a racing drone to film the historic Ferry Building on the Embarcadero.

Today's top first person view (FPV) pilots can tackle even the tallest skyscrapers, creating footage that would be literally impossible to otherwise capture. Case in point is this fantastic piece by ilya_fpv. He managed to FPV dive one of the world's most famous skyscrapers: Chicago's Willis Tower. Once known as the Sears Tower, the 110 behemoth was the world's tallest building when it opened in 1973. With an architectural height of 441 meters (1.45k ft.), it remained the USA's tallest building for over four decades.

Take a behind the scenes look with the one and only JohnnyFPV as he recaps a flight from late 2019. The setting for the mayhem was Irwindale Speedway in southern California, which was hosting a Formula drift race and its last race of the season. Watch as he tracks these beasts of machines sliding around the track, throwing smoke and screaming while Johnny did his magic by providing an FPV livestream. He worked his angles and pulled plenty of killer maneuvers to give us all yet another epic JohnnyFPV video.

Star Wars inside the BANDO

Now this is something we haven't seen much of, but it definitely looks like a blast! Check out what FPV pilot craig_dt created here...he attached some live roman candles and other firewworks to his racing drone as he cruised around a bando in the Moscow region of Russia. This novel idea definitely gives a Star Wars battle scene like view to the flight, and we think it looks like a blast. So much so, in fact we had to recognize this creativity by adding him to the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April 2020.

First person view (FPV) drone pilots are increasingly able to show off some of the world's premiere travel destinations from an entirely new perspective: from high definition cameras mounted to racing drones. Case in point is this fantastic video from southern Indonesia by AirVuz contributor and pilot Gareth Hayman. He was able to fly his racing quad over some of the most exotic spots in Southeast Asia, capturing epic footage from the storied island of Bali, its "satellite" Nusa Penida, and large easter neighbor Lombok.

OVERRIDE - my 2019 / George FPV

Based on the spectacular footage packed into this reel, 2019 was a very good year indeed for drone pilot George FPV. With just 2 years of flying quadcopters, he shows us how formidable of a pilot he's come with chase footage of drift racing, motocross, street cars, boats, and four wheelers. You'll also see epic shots from the Port of Venice and the open water, showcasing his technical moves and amazing flow. All of this made a great case for adding him to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in April 2020.

Silent City - Covid-19 lockdown in Annecy

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Kenny Dorion created this spectacular cinematic FPV video of the French Alps town of Annecy at a virtual standstill during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. With its outdoor spaces virtually empty of people, the video brings a unique perspective to the largest city in the Haute-Savoie Department. Once called the Pearl of the French Alps, Annecy is located at the northern tip of its namesake lake, about 35 km (around 22 mi.) south of Geneva.

Monument Circle in Indianapolis, Indiana is home to the Sailors and Soldiers Monument, which was completed in 1902. This limestone monument is now a symbol of both its home city and state, and due to the empty streets caused by the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, it was an alluring challenge for FPV pilot vitopulverenti. Watch this cinematic edit in which he uses his GoPro, his skilled flying maneuvers, and ReelSteady to create an epic freestyling treat. We enjoyed it so much we put him on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in April 2020.

Instagram and YouTube star Stéphane Couchoud keeps it real about his first 6 months of FPV in this great edit. Starting out near Saint. Étienne, France, we witness his crashes and frustration, but quickly, we're treated to an epic reel full of cliff dives, cruising by a beach resort, tree dancing, mountain surfing, diving *through* a dam, and more. We even like his ending message: "Don't try to be the best. Be authentic." This video earned a nomination for the sixth annual New York City Drone Film Festival.

The man-made Flagler Memorial Island outside of Miami Beach, Florida (USA) was the perfect setting for FPV pilot Banner_drones to have a little fun with his friends from Vice Boat Club. Watch as he flies both his cinewhoop and racing quad, chasing the water sports entertainment like the hot new electric Radinn jet/surf boards, Jet Skis, watertubing, and the revelers on the beach. This January 2020 FPV Video of the Month winner always picks creative settings and that's why we returned him to the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April 2020.
