St. Anthony Falls: Where it All Started

Minneapolis is where it is because of the St. Anthony Falls - the highest navigable point on the Mississippi. Also a tremendous source of water power for applications like, say, milling wheat into flour. Out of these falls sprang a thriving metropolis of well over 3 million.
