Quintana Roo is the easternmost state of Mexico.  It occupies most of the great  Yucatan Peninsula, which it shares with the states of Yucatan and Campache and the Central American countries Guatemala and Belize.  Away from the beaches of Cancun, in the interior of the state, which is primarily jungle, you'll find the long, narrow lagoon of Bacalar.  The lake is stunning, with brilliantly clear aqua blue water.  Contributor Travel Lifestyle used a drone to create this amazing aerial video of this Mexican treasure.
