32khz or Bust! (Betaflight 4.0.0 Dynamic Filter is Magic!)

Wow, lots to talk about on this one! First of all, I've historically avoided 32khz simply because of the problems inherent to the faster update rates, and negative (or at the very least not positive) tuning experiences any time I've tried it. However I'm working on a promotional build that I won't be keeping, so I wanted to go ahead and get a solid tune on both 32khz and 8khz since the FC was capable. My experience here basically re-enforced why I left 32khz alone and typically avoid FCs that are 32khz capable! I had all kinds of trouble, oscillations that weren't tunable, jitters, hot motors, etc. I was about to give up, and just bin the thing, but I'd heard of folks having good luck with Betaflight 4.0.0. AJ kindly compiled a custom build with some of the unmerged pull requests included, and I flashed the build over just before the weekend. I finally got a chance to do a bit of tuning and put in a couple packs yesterday, and man alive! The BF devs have really outdone themselves this time. All my issues were gone, and within a couple packs, I'd say the tune is 95% there. There's still a few periodic but very subtle jitters in the HD feed, as well as some minor prop wash that needs tuning, but this is now probably one of the better setups I've flown! Going from one of the worst to one of the best with just flashing a firmware update is one of the more impressive things I've seen! I still feel like there is essential no gains to 32khz, or very minimal at best, but this is the first time I've felt like it was workable. This makes me want to pull out my 6" quads that have historically given me so much trouble and give them a run on 4.0! Absolutely amazing work! Anyway, here's my two tuning packs. I was flying a bit cautious due to needing this build to survive. Another thing to note is how much of a massive difference camera angle and FOV make! I put a 16:9 camera with a bit narrow FOV than I typically run in this quad, and it is pretty disorienting going back and forth between my usual quads and this one! So the flying here isn't great, but I had to share on the Betaflight improvements! Keep an eye out on FB for more information regarding this build!
