A NEW YEAR IS COMING!

Get a rare wintertime look at a well-known landmark on Italy's Lake Como, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Marchino.   It's called Volta's Lighthouse, and it's located in the town of San Maurizio.  It's just to the northeast of the town of Como, which sits at the southern end of the lake's western branch.  Completed in 1927, the lighthouse commemorates the centenary of the death of Alessandro Volta, a pioneer in the field of electricity.  The lighthouse is accessible from the nearby town of Brunate.
