Being part of the Sierra del Camorro is this declared Natural Monument fault. A fault is a geological formation in which two blocks of the earth's crust move relative to each other. That of this Sierra was formed because the internal forces of the earth subjected this place to strong tensions. At present, it can be observed in the external part of the massif numerous fractures such as cracks and faults that confer a steep aspect to the relief. In addition, the limestone rocks tinge the environment of its characteristic whitish tone. These rocks, fissured and eroded by rain and wind, originate a myriad of passages and cavities typical of the karst landscape.
