The Victor Emmanuel II Monument is one of the great landmarks of Rome, Italy. Seen in this excellent drone video by former Drone Video of the Week Winner Alessio Tricarico, the Vittoriano (as it's sometimes called) is located adjacent to the Piazza Venezia, the most important road intersection in the Eternal City. It's dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II of Italy, the first monarch of the modern Italian state. The monument was completed in 1935, having undergone construction (including a number of design changes) for fifty years.
