Tyler Mason caught up with Shaun Taylor, AKA NytFury FPV, at AUVSI Xponential 2018 in Denver, Colorado to talk BNF and RTF racing quads. Stock Bind N' Fly and Ready to Fly mini quads are becoming more and more prevalent on the race track because of supreme engineering and components that satisfy even the accomplished pros. Competing with the likes of NytFury takes training and talent, but picking up equal hardware and rippin' at the same gnarly speeds' is easy! (If you got the $$$!) The FPV learning curve is getting gradually easier thanks to companies engineering BNF drones that are user-friendly, yet they still maintain top drawer specs for the ever growing young talent pool to practice their flight skills at pro race speed. However, new racers will have to be strong "upstairs," as Shaun likes to say, in order to have success in pro circuits. Having deep quad building knowledge and repair skills is no longer a prerequisite for being a FPV pilot. Check out the drones featured in this story! Music: Silo - All Night
