Cutbacks are happening at one of the most popular tech-gadget companies... GoPro is restructuring.
In a news release, GoPro announced several cuts: The company is closing it's entertainment division, canceling open job positions, and cutting about 200 jobs. In all, that's about 15 percent of it's total workforce.
While the same release had good things to say about the company's 'Hero 5' camera, noticeably missing was anything about the Karma drone.
The layoffs and cuts come after the failed rollout of the Karma- seen widely as a way to boost business for GoPro. AirVūz has told you how GoPro recalled the drone, after reports of them falling out of the sky.
Also announced- the company's president says he'll resign at the end of this year. Tony Bates was with GoPro for about three years. This isn't the first round of cuts this year- Go Pro eliminated 100 jobs in January 2016.
GoPro's issues don't stop there- the BBC says the company's cash reserves have dropped by half since the start of 2016.
