The days of asking a stranger to take a photo for you are appear gone. With selfie sticks and dronies taking over when your arms can’t stretch quite far enough. The Hover Cam, aka the newest player in the photo game, gives you more distance than a selfie stick and is smaller than a drone. Chinese company Zero Zero introduced the flying camera late last month. The camera can take 13 Mega-Pixel photos and 4K videos and includes features like electronic image stabilization and a 360 degree camera. “To use Hover Camera is very simple. Power it on, flip it open like this, and you can hold it anywhere. When you let go, it just hovers automatically.” Once it’s in the air, the camera uses facial and body recognition software to follow you. Hover Cam is less than 250 grams, meaning you don’t need to register it with the FAA. The company expects it to be ready for purchase in time for this holiday season, costing around $600.
