Abandon Rooftop Water Theme Park

The water theme park which is situated on the 7th floor of a shopping complex opened its door to visitors about 22 years ago and hailed as the 3rd biggest theme park in South East Asia that time. Despite its popularity among locals, especially those in Klang Valley area, Safari Lagoon took a hit in 2007 in which the officers in municipal council found out that the water park had been operating without a licence for a total of 8 years and was ordered to close in 2005. However, the water park's door remained open to visitors for another 2 years, with the municipal council failing to take any actions against the operator. The illegal operations came to a light in 2007 after a freak accident took place where one of the employee at the park was killed when he was trapped inside a high pressure water pump. The employee reportedly died while trying to retrieve items left by the visitors during the traffic incident. It close down and the abandoned site has left the former theme park to be dilapated conditions. The abandon theme park was till there together with the complex which is also closed down until till today.
