This Drone Footage Video captures Semaforo Punta Falcone which is a former lookout station, made to spot attacking and trading ships. As you can see in the video it is apart of the late nineteenth-century signaling system and undoubtedly constitutes a splendid example of architecture integrated with the surrounding territory. It is divided into two sections: that of the dormitories and that of the lookout. The first, located in a relatively protected position, is the largest one. The lookout station, on the other hand, integrated into a privileged viewpoint positioned on top of a series of granite rocks, has the classic semi-circular shape with radially arranged openings. The lookout structure, flanked by another building of regular shape, is surmounted by a sail vault, above which is a belvedere, reachable through a staircase. The two bodies that make up the Station are joined together by a covered stairway, obtained from a natural passage, which gives the whole structure a high architectural and landscape value.
