This amusement park, called at first “Città Satellite”, was founded around the 1964. It rises on an area of more than three hundred thousand of square meters. It was born from the decision to create a big amusement park, in competition with Gardaland, representing a pioneering project. In fact, in Italy until than existed only itinerant amusement parks. At the beginning the park was formed by a little lake and a little train for children, but the project included new attractions around the lake, like roller coasters, tunnel of love, bumper cars and also fishing. Quickly were added places of refreshment, parkings so that the park reaching glory around the eighties. Then, because of the management difficulties and irregularities abou safety and hygiene, in 2002 Greenland was subject to judicial seizure and in 2008 Greenland was closed. In 2009 was presented a project of the retraining of the park and the surrounding areas and for Expo 2015…that nobody has never seen! On december 2017 the municipality of Limbiate has mobilized with the property of the area in order to make a new project of upgrading in two years. What we see today? A real forest who had swallowed the ruins of the most beautiful amusement park in the whole Lombardia… that some of you may have seen during the age of its spledor.
