Acrocorinth - Ακροκόρινθος
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
The Acrocorinth is an important historical site in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. It is a fortress situated on a monolith rock overlooking the ruins of the ancient city of Corinth, about 5 km (around 3 mi.) southwest of modern-day Corinth. Occupied for thousands of years, the fortress was once known as one of the Fetters of Greece by the Macedonians who controlled the region for a time. Seen here in this drone video by G Traveller, the Acrocorinth played an active defensive role until the 19th century.
