Drone pilot dronujemy provides the ideal vantage point to take in the highest Tibetan Bridge in Europe. The Ponte nel Cielo, “bridge in the sky” in Italian, is located outside of Milan, Italy and was completed in the fall of 2018.

The aerial video of the bridge shows the striking scale and height of the pedestrian walkway. Suspended at 140 meters in the air and spanning 234 meters, it is the longest and largest Tibetan Bridge in Europe. It was constructed with locally sourced larch wood.

Tibetan bridges are built with cables and decking that are suspended between two towers. Modern bridges like the Ponte nel Cielo are named after the earliest known examples built by , a Tibetan saint from the 15th century.

Visitors can walk to bridge from 9:30am to 4:30pm, taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding Orobie Mountains.
