VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: Mike Welsh: 00:05 Welcome back to AirVūz ReVūz. Today we're reviewing the newest DJI camera, the DJI Zenmuse X7. This is a huge upgrade from the X5S. This camera's being compared to a lot of cinema cameras like Red and uh, ARRI. It's really a game-changer for uh, the smaller companies who can't afford to, to put the $2,000 worth of equipment in the air. Mike Welsh: 00:27 We've had the X7 for about a month now, and we've shot some amazing footage. Mike Welsh: 00:40 What's cool is it comes in this little box. Gold Edition. We're gonna pop this out and take a closer look. Mike Welsh: 00:50 So, first impressions about this. The X7 is clearly larger in size. All these cameras are compatible with the DJI-Inspire 2. The X5S is a micro 4/3 sensor compared to the X7's super 35 sensor. That gives you a better dynamic range, better in low light, better depth of field. It shoots 6K cinema DNG, 5.2K prores. It also takes 24-megapixel stills. So it really takes your cinema game to the next level. Mike Welsh: 01:23 What I really like about the Inspire 2 X7 combo is it's fully integrated, allowing you to change your shutter speed, your gain, your aperture. Uh, whereas with a professional heavy rig, uh, it's much more complicated. Mike Welsh: 01:35 So DJI has created four lenses for this camera. It comes in 16, 24, 35, and 50. They did an amazing job in making these lightweight. They only weigh 150 grams and they're made out of carbon fiber. Because this is a larger camera and you're flying larger lenses, it is gonna affect your flight time by two to three minutes. So you gotta be careful with it touching the ground. Um, when it does its built-in test, you gotta make sure there's no rocks or anything underneath, where it could possibly scrape the lens. Mike Welsh: 02:04 Also, when you land, you gotta make sure you tilt the camera up uh, so it's not tilted down because it actually will hit the ground. Mike Welsh: 02:12 I'm giving the X7 10 out of 10 props because of its dynamic range, it's ability to shoot in low light, and 6K raw video. Mike Welsh: 02:20 The Super 35 full-frame sensor gives it that amazing dynamic range. As well as the ability to shoot amazing low light footage, uh, it's pretty comparable to a Sony A7S2. The benefits to shooting 6K raw is you have an amazing ability to change the color and post, and really make those colors pop. Mike Welsh: 02:39 Thanks for watching this review.
