Koh Tao Island lies in Southern Thailand, near the western shore of the great Gulf of Thailand. It is situated a bit to the north and west of the better known islands of Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan islands, all of which are part of an island group known as the Chumphon Archipelago. Ko Tao is known for its excellent scuba diving waters. The area is part of the Surat Thani province, which covers the middle of Thailand's portion of the Malay Peninsula. Check out Ko Tao from above, compliments of Aerial Photography Asia.
