The Annapurna massif of Nepal is home to some of the world's tallest mountains. The highest peak of this Himalayan Mountain subrange (Mt. Annapurna) is over 8k meters (over 26k ft.) above sea level, and there are thirteen peaks in the group over 7k meters (23k ft.). These stunningly beautiful mountains are also amongst the world's most dangerous; there have been over 60 recorded fatalities against the 190+ attempts to reach the summit.
