Antarctica: Everything Or Nothing!

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Prepare to be blown away by this fantastic drone video from Antarctica by top AirVuz contributor scientik.  The video was filmed over the Southern Ocean, the body of water which surrounds the seventh continent.  It captures the massive icebergs which are produced by the world's largest ice sheet, which covers a massive area of 5.4 million square mi. (14 million square km) - nearly twice the area of Australia.  It also features some spectacular wildlife shots including penguins, seals, and (the "stars" of the video) humpback whales.

Lottery win? Vabank? Or life's jackpot? What started with a coffee at work at the Faculty of Science gradually transformed into a life-long adventure like no other. The two of us's scientific expedition to Antarctica with the Argentine army started off brilliantly. A flight across the Southern Ocean in the world's largest military aircraft, as well as aerobatic flying in combat helicopters just a meter above the ice floes... all of this is just the beginning of our journey to find penguins, seals, sea lions, but especially diatom algae that can inhabit even the most extreme places on our planet, such as the seventh continent. But as soon as we took the last sample remaining in the mosaic of the story of discovering microbial life at the foot of glaciers, something we never expected happened. Whales arrived!
