Apuan Alps

Tuscany has so much to offer in terms of its glorious cities and wineries that its mountains are sometimes overlooked.  That's a mistake though: the Apuan Alps in northern Tuscany offer some of the most spectacular natural sights in all of Italy.  They are considered a sub-range of the Apennine chain which runs down the "spine" of Italy; their highest peaks are just over 1.9k meters (around 4.4k ft.).  See them in this beautiful aerial video of the Apuans, compliments of contributor and drone pilot Mike24_ph.
