AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Contributor Yoshi1989 created this powerful aerial video of the site of the Auschwitz concentration camp in southern Poland. Auschwitz was the scene of some of the most concentrated killing by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust in World War II. The camp and its many satellites actually constituted two camps: a "work" camp for slave labor, and a true death camp where prisoners were killed with poison gas upon arrival. The camp's "reception" process was the basis for William Styron's 1979 novel, Sophie's Choice.
