Autumn in Essex
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor Manx.Cat captures the glorious colors of Fall in New England with this excellent drone video of Essex, Connecticut. The town is located on the right (western) bank of the Connecticut River, just a bit upstream (north) of its mouth on Long Island Sound. Famously, Essex was the target of the "Great Attack" during the War of 1812. On April 8, 1814, a force of British Marines rowed up the river, commandeered the town (then known as Potopaug), and burned or captured several ships docked in its harbor.

The last crisp days of autumn of 2021 spent with friends in Essex, Connecticut. The first warship of the Revolution was built here in 1776.
