BAD LANDS
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor and pilot PJF Drone brings us this marvelous aerial view of the "badlands" of Las Cárcavas de Marchal in the southern Spanish province of Grenada. "Badlands" are a geological phenomenon caused by the action of unusual erosion activity by wind and water on sedimentary rocks. While the lands here are of no use for agriculture, for centuries the rock formations had been used to create dwellings. Located within the municipality of Marchal, the Las Cárcavas de Marchal have been declared a natural monument of Andalusia.
