Berati in Motion || Dronalb qyteti i Beratit 2016

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : While Berati (Berat) is only the ninth largest city in Albania, it punches well above its weight in terms of cultural influence as well as a tourist destination. The city is situated on the Ostrum River in the south central part of the country. Like much of Albania, it's mountainous terrain which has been occupied for millennia. With its unique architecture, it's designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. In this video by DronAlb, you'll get a bird's eye view of this ancient city in the mountains of Albania.

Berat weaves its own very special magic and is easily a highlight of visiting Albania. Its most striking feature is the collection of white Ottoman houses climbing up the hill to its castle, earning it the title of 'Town of a thousand windows' and helping it join Gjirokastra on the list of Unesco World Heritage sites in 2008.

Tipar i tij më i spikatur janë lagjet e shtëpive të bardha osmane qe ngjiten deri në kështjellën e tij, duke e bere atë të fitojë titullin "Qyteti i njëmijë dritareve" dhe duke e ndihmuar t'i bashkohet Gjirokastres në listën e vendeve të Trashëgimisë Botërore të UNESCO në vitin 2008.
